Picked-up my MME today, very good experience with dealer.

High-level timelines
Ordered - 8-15-2021
Original build date - 12-20-2021
revised build date - 01-03-2022
Actually build - who knows - Between Jan 3rd and late March Built and went on Chip hold.
Around late March - Car on train from Mexico to KC
April 9th - KC ( and spend 2-3 weeks there)
April 29th - made it to Alliance, TX (BNSF hub)
May 2nd - delivered to dealer (they got 8 MME's on that truck)
May 4th - ready at dealer's end
May 6th - I picked it up

Are you me? I ordered Oct 1 but all the craziness in your timeline is similar. At one point my build date was December. ha-ha. Enjoy it! Meanwhile Delivery date keeps moving day by day.

So, I found this map of the Intermodel BNSF routes, and when I call in to trace my car, I put a note on the pdf. On 5/3 my car left Kansas City, KS, and travelled to Lake Superior, WI, where it stayed until this morning. I was thinking how odd that was to go that far east when it's end location is WA State. Must have been some bad weather conditions on the other routes. It started moving again this morning and left Gunn, MN at 6am central. Figured I would share the map with anyone that's as obsessed as I am. ?

Not sure if you received a comment to your post but if you do a RCL you will not qualify for the tax rebate. That was the reason Ford developed the Options financing.

It is the same rebate. There is one for retail and one for RCL. Program #'s 38276 and 38278

Latest update is "notification ground only" in Port Wilmington, Delaware as of today morning. Hopefully it doesn't take 2/3 weeks to unload and truck to NJ.

Well, I have been tracking the train car that my car is on. It is scheduled to arrive today at the Mira Loma distribution center about 65 miles away from the dealership.

For probably closer to two months until last night my delivery window is May 2-8. Now that my car is close to delivery the webpage just updated with a new delivery window of May 30, June 6.

I do not have that "delay" e-mail from Ford (yet at least)...but I am assuming this is in error just like the email I got from Ford less than 1 hour after I got the "your car is built" e-mail that said my car was now scheduled for production.

Hopefully to those that have also seen a slip in delivery will find their cars also arrive "ahead" of the "current" schedule. I am hopeful that the dealership can get my car on a carrier early next week.

Ford.com chat confirmed my car arrived yesterday (Friday morning 5/6) in Mira Loma at 10:42AM.

I called Union Pacific and got a status update on my train car it was on…and it was confirmed to be empty and heading back to Texas…so my car has been unloaded. Hopefully it will be at the dealer in the next couple of days.

FYI: I saw this thread from last year and was hoping Ford had made a change to the 2022 cars…but it appears there was no change (at least as of the Early 2022s).

If you don’t know about this issue of a potential dent from the charge port door, please be mindful of it. A clever person developed a fix for it and made the file available for printing (or you can purchase one directly).

I just got home and I got the "complete the purchase" e-mail from ford.com. It appears that our pony has arrived at the dealership! (Just 3 days after I got the e-mail that said that our car was delayed for another 28 days). Don't despair if you have that e-mail delay.

I wish i could share you sentiment but it’s been over a week since I got my email and someone else here in the Bay Area said the delay was accurate. Sadly, I am looking at an early June delivery instead of an early May.

Mines somewhere in Montana at the moment. I may have it by Friday. I've been watching it and the train only runs for about 8 hours and then stops for the night. I think it's on a milk of some kind.
