I don't think I would ever use it anyway.

For now single lane hands free driving in certain mapped areas. Wasn’t it 160,000 miles of US interstates and state highways? What does this feature do exactly that the standard feature doesn't?
$1400 is way better than Tesla's $8000. Let's see what it does for $1400.
Divided highways with controlled access iirc. For now single lane hands free driving in certain mapped areas. Wasn’t it 160,000 miles of US interstates and state highways?
Also, cell and gps signals are required for the GM system. Hopefully this is less restrictive.Divided highways with controlled access iirc.
Yes, FSD formerly known as AutoPilot or now aka Enhanced AutoPilot LOL Hard to keep up with all the marketing based flavors of its Level 2 autonomous system.Do you mean Tesla's FSD? Autopilot is just auto steer and ACC but you still have to keep your hands on the wheel.
I wonder if it would work when crossing the Mackinac Bridge?I live in the Detroit area and have a cabin on Drummond Island (north of Mackinac), so I would get a lot of use out of it. But I would wait to see some reviews of it first.
Got an email today from Ford UK that orders will be confirmed from end of November, according to the pre-order date. The order number is randomly generated and carries no real implication on delivery.https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/autoline-daily/id293704041?i=1000494056462
Has anyone listened to this podcast? At 9:40 into the podcast, Autoline Daily reports that hands-free Active Drive Assist will cost $1,400 and be available three to four months after the Mach-E sales begin.
Sales will start before the end of the ear in the US. Sales in Europe and China will start three months after that.
In the US it is called 'Active Drive Assist Prep Kit' with the following text: "Active Drive Assist functionality expected 3rd quarter 2021CY. Separate payment for feature software required to activate full functionality at that time."Stupid question: isn't this just part of the Technology Pack? In the Dutch pricelist it states under the TP: Active Drive Assist with Lane Centering Asist, Stop&Go and Handsfree mode (if allowed in the EU).
