Was on the Interstate today and Blue Cruise worked fine. I have to say I didn’t trust it and turned it off after a little bit.
I’ve been pretty happy with it so far.
Trust the machine!! :)

only complaint I have, is like others, I’m super surprised we don’t get an audio cue When BC disengages. Seems like a bit of a safety concern to me.

Well, I took my Mustang in for the OTA update on March 15. They had problems doing it and gave me a loaner. Said it would take a couple of days to do it and BC update also.

Well 3 weeks later, I still am waiting for my car to be fixed and returned. They are saying they need an instrument cluster, it is on back order and no ETA on it.

Is the instrument cluster another way of saying APIM? Any input on this? Did they break this part while going to get to the APIM?

Also, my Ford Mobile Charger was showing a heat problem, giving an amber light. It was still charging at about 60%. The dealer could not check it out, because they do not have a a 240 volt in the garage. This dealer is a very big dealer in Florida. They said they were going to install a 240 volt outlet so they could do it. I thought part of a dealership was to have a 240 outlet, so they could check it out.

Any advice on what to do?

Thanks

As Ronald Reagan said, "Trust But Verify" and I'm still in the verify part because I don't trust it yet. ?

Clearly they bricked your IPC during an update attempt. And now they’ve had to order a replacement because they can’t PMI that one to recover it. They must have really bricked it good, cause normally you can just do PMI and try to reload the software.
And they probably DO have a 240v outlet that is hardwired dedicated to their own charger. They just don’t have a spare NEMA 14-50 outlet to plug your charger into to test it. They have to be "EV Certified" to sell Mach-Es and Lightnings. That means they have to have a certified EV tech and I believe two level 2 charge stations if I'm not mistaken.

I also had the orange led come on once on my portable (but permanently mounted Mach-E charger). I just reset the breaker and it has never happened since.

Eh. I used adaptive cruise and lane centering pretty frequently with just a light finger on the wheel… so was already pretty comfortable and trusting of the car… this isn’t that much more advanced in theory

In my mind I know you're right I'm just chicken sh&% right now. I told the EA person that Blue Cruise is really like Adaptive Cruise Control and LKA on steroids IMHO. I know they mapped out the "Blue Zones" but one can drive the car with minimal steering just using those two programs. EDIT 5-13: https://fordauthority.us13.list-man...7cbfc18410b87e54ce&id=3ea139633a&e=b838e802e2 I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Having tried it a bit, I think I mostly trust it. However, like the LKA, it tends to wobble through turns and rides the right side of the lane a bit too close for comfort. Maybe I naturally hug the left too much though.

I thought BC can be adjusted, the same way as LA. Something like on a straight away, you hold it in the desired lane position to train it for some amount of time?

Good to see this topic has moved from stuck to enjoying bc.
I’ve had mine in for HVBJB and while there they manually updated modules but still no work on resolving the OTA issue, even though the Csp for it us in the system!
Even had @Ford customer support keeping an eye on it, all they do is call the dealer to see when the car will be done.
Not even looking at the Csp!

Quick update on my car:

I dropped it off on May 10th.

Said it should be back to me on May 11th. Didn't get the call that it was done until 4:15 PM on May 13th.

I mentioned updating FDRS when they said the updates were failing. That had not been done.

There were some other stories about bad network cables and the dealership firewall stopping the downloads, etc.

But my car is back and everything seems to be working. I notice the same "pulls too far to the right on BC" that has been mentioned. I wish there was a way to set it to my comfort zone and save that setting. Hopefully Ford will figure something out on that.

My only concern now is to wonder if OTA will really work now. All updates to my car since 1.7.1 have had to be done at the dealership. It will be interesting to see how the next OTA download works....

Just dropped my car off for the fix. However the update button randomly works today. So it looks like I’m a loony who keeps on calling them. I know it won’t update anyway.
The customer care team will be helping on it anyway. I also put the parts needed on the front seat.

Jim - I'm in the same boat as you and wonder the same thing about future Ford Power-Up OTA's and my car's ability to download them. I was told, however, none (new Power-Up OTA's) have come out since mine was updated at the dealer (21G01 using FDRS) and not to be concerned yet so I am not. We'll just have to wait now and see if it happens or we see others having received a new Ford Power-Up OTA and we have not. I'm trying to be optimistic now.

Just curious. What version of Sync is your car reporting now?

I'm also in the loaner for 3 weeks club, it'll actually be 4 weeks tomorrow. They've been waiting on cables that were back ordered and various other excuses, been trying to get help from Ford's hot line but just can't figure it out. Very frustrating. On the bright side, Ford's customer relations is saying they are going to cover my gas payments for the loaner and should cover my monthly payment on the car.
