Did your status update today? or did you not check yesterday. Just curious if they were still updating orders today or not.2/4 order - Select w/ Comfort/Tech, scheduled 7/18, SoCal
For me, I ordered 12/3/21 your trim level. 161 days or 5 months and 10 days til I got the notification of being assigned a build week. In your favor, Ford is ramping up production with supply chains easing us a bit. Stay engaged in the forum, ask questions and take this time to become a subject matter expert. Except for a couple of recalls, the car is sound. There are glitches, but this is common in new cars.. bugs will be worked out.Ordered California route1 awd extended rage on 2/27. How long is the wait for production? And how long after the production it takes for delivery
I assume yesterday, I forgot to check until this morning.Did your status update today? or did you not check yesterday. Just curious if they were still updating orders today or not.
There is a lag between orders and production. I believe Ford is planning to complete production on 22 models by the end of October and start production of 23 models Nov. So if nothing slides (a big if), then the final end of March/early April orders before they cut-off 22 orders in April will be built in October. It appears the all the orders that have been waiting will be completed by mid August. Then September will start ordering for the 2023 units.
Ordered about the same day, same color, awd, standard range however mine is a premium.[/QUOTE]Checked on a whim this morning. No email yet but Ford.com order page says scheduled and was able to find my VIN by inspecting the page response payload.
Select AWD + Tech Package (Grabber Blue)
Ordered: 1/20/2022
Scheduled week of 7/18/2022
good data siftingSo far there have been 21 people on the forum report that they received a production date today.
The majority are Premium AWD with November order dates. What is surprising is not a single GT was reported as getting a build date today.
Let's just hope the next couple of weeks more people get build dates. As a November order holder a build date seems close.

How can you tell how many orders have been or are still waiting? It appears the all the orders that have been waiting will be completed by mid August. Then September will start ordering for the 2023 units.
I base this on The Ford Authority article that says the order banks for 2023 will open August 15. I think Ford will push to make sure no 2022 flip to 2023. The biggest backlog from what I see on the forums are October, November and December 2021. Now Mid April Ford stop orders for the 2 Most popular trims and continued orders for the Select and GT. The Select and GT orders continued to be filled more quickly than any other Models. So there is less of a Backlog for those 2 models.
So I conclude, as we see what appears to be most of the Oct, Nov, Dec orders scheduled though July, that Ford will quickly schedule the Jan, Feb, March, April Orders that are left in the first 2 weeks of August and call it done. Some are already seeing dates in July also. I hope my reasoning is sound and that is how it goes for us all.
