Based on Ford's statement that 48,924 vehicles are involved, I think it's safe to assume that all cars sold in the US that were built prior to 5/24/22 are included in the recall. It is isn't actually quite all of them, it's gonna be really darn close. That of course does not necessarily mean that all, or even most, of those cars will need more than a software upgrade. From what I've seen in the dozens and dozens of posts I read on this topic (so far - obsessed? who me?), my guess is that all cars will need a software update and GTs will get a new HVBJB as well.

Seems maybe the silver lining to my destroyed March build (which would have been delivered to me a week before the recall) is getting a post-fix build. Sounds like there is a chance I could get a new build before some of the recalled cars get fixed. Yikes.

Well I guess I should skip taking my GTPE on a weekend trip to Reno for fourth of July weekend. I still haven't used DCFC yet so I should wait on that as well.
Have done that trip 25 times. Would do it again including last Sunday. Decided to fly instead of driving 1000 mi. Don’t trust my ICE vehicle as much as the MME

The earth is flat.

This thread needs to be more productive..

so What’s a good comeback for trolling ICE Mustang drivers now?
At least when we pass people, we don't almost spin out when going back into our lane. ?

I see you little green ICE mustang that passed me the other day and nearly bit it. ?

Wow I didn’t realize there was only 1 plant pushing out all of these cars. Impressive but also no wonder there are recalls.
Remember high school science class: correlation does not imply causation. Just because there is one plant doesn’t necessarily mean having only one plant caused the issue. In fact, this is (likely) a design flaw, not a build quality issue.

Anybody think this could be the exact reason why Ford put the 5-second limiter on full acceleration and yet still failed in some cases?
No.

This seems to affect all models, from the rwd sr to the GT.

Nothing in the car should get hot enough to weld/melt metal from flooring it. Not even remotely close.

This is gonna be from a poor design or faulty part.

If this only affected GT models or if the faults happened after people were driving very aggressively, maybe we could put 2 and 2 together.

But it’s not.

Correlation- everyone who drinks water eventually dies.

Causation- everyone who doesn’t drink water dies.

I also remember my finance classes and more diversification is less risky. As of right now, not every single MME is being recalled (knock on wood, fingers crossed, etc.). So it seems like somewhere along the way they figured out the issue, changed up a part, or something along those lines. Maybe the issue wouldn’t have affected so many cars if there was more than 1 plant producing. Just my opinion.
You think multiple plants would use different parts for the same vehicle???

They changed it 3 weeks ago (end of May).

But if they’re using the same parts to build the car, doesn’t matter how many plants you produced it at.

No one on this forum reported Rwd Sr having the failure

Yet.

But not every failure would make it to the forum. If they’re a part of the recall, they have the same design flaw.

How many have posted here? Less than 10? Highly unlikely that’s all there’s been to have a full recall.

But either way, it’s not a GT only problem.

I should be safe, Madam Pele (the Hawaiian Volcano Goddess) is known to like Gin. Bombay Saphire Gin. (There's a story there involving a long-time owner of Volcano House). I like Bombay Saphire Gin. No worries.
You have good taste. That's hands down the best kind of gin ?

Yes but I think less likely because this configuration draws the least power and less likely to melt the hvbjb
