Mach E recall - 22S41

I have been reading about the 22S41 Recall for the past two months. Recently, a post included the recall notice that all Ford dealers received — theoretically on the 28th of June. I contacted my Ford Dealer today (July 7th - 2022) and asked if they have the paperwork regarding this recall — the rep looked it up and they did have the paperwork and then I asked for an appointment to have the software update etc. The point I am making is that it not be the most prudent move to wait for the dealership to contact to you —if you are aware of this recall, I suggest that you contact your dealer, identify the recall number and ask them if they are able to address the situation.

If you read further on the recall notice, Ford is sending out letters to owners this week. This forum just posts the info that DEALERS receive, so you're getting info early.

I appreciate your feedback — I guess what I was trying to say — it might be a good idea to be pro-active. I understand that we are to receive a notice in the mail from Ford. — Just trying to cross all the T’S and dot the i’s — but you are correct. Thanks for the feedback.

Yeah, plenty of people have already done this. There is a super long thread, probably the one you found the notice on, where people are posting about them scheduling their updates.
