Hello.
My MME, which I love, is still broken. The front camera ceased to function within a few days of the dealership replacing the first camera that stopped working.
When this happens, it automatically disables adaptive/intelligent cruise control, as well as all forms of lane keeping.

However, I saw somewhere that there was a patch that allows you to use normal cruise control now, even if the front camera is inoperative.
Can anybody confirm this? How do I enable normal cruise control in that condition?
How do I know if I have the specific update required?

Not being able to use basic cruise control is really a pain. Of course, so is not having a properly working new vehicle.
Thank you in advance... I could really use some good news for a change when it comes to my MME.

I enabled normal cruise control… I get

“Normal Cruise active
Adaptive braking
Off”

advisory message. When I try to use cruise control, nothing happens at all.
Any suggestions??

I think that's as it should be. Normal cruise control is just holding speed, it doesn't care how fast or slow any cars in front of you are going. Adaptive breaking would be for ACC.

Correct. The problem is that cruise control will not engage! Any suggestions from the field? Obviously, getting the camera module replaced should fix all my problems, but months of not having any form of cruise control are wearing on me. Plus, it simply ought to work, with or without the silly camera!
