Yet another data point - I noticed this message in the FordPass app this morning. It was dated March 8, the day I had my car detailed. It was just an exterior detail, but I know the doors were open to dry the vehicle. I’ve driven the vehicle and charged it since then with no issues.

Oh, and I put the car in valet mode for the detail (just paranoid) and discovered that the tailgate won’t open in valet mode! That surprised me and doesn’t seem to be documented in the manual.

I have a variant of this problem. Occasionally I get the "12v Battery Fault -- get service soon" message on starting the car, and it doesn't seem to matter if I've been driving every day or not. However, this message almost always disappears by itself without my having to acknowledge it, and it doesn't report an error on FordPass or record a code that my dealer can see through their general interface.

My dealer was going to replace the battery, but Ford asked them to check again, and they found a "p1a3c" code in the OBCC. They reprogrammed the OBCC per TSB 22-2057, and did a retest and declared everything good.

However, I'm getting the same symptom again.

I've never gotten the more serious power train failure messages that 22-2057 talks about.
@Ford Motor Company -- can you help me?

I have also been getting the "12 V battery Vault" from the car (but not on Ford Pass). I did realize that I have been been "turning off" the car with my foot on the break. Would that leave it in Accessory Mode and be causing the drain?

I don't think it will stay in accessory mode, though. It should have an auto-shutoff.
