So I just spoke with the dealer. I asked if they truly have my car there. They're going to check and call me back on that.

I asked about the getting the original price of the vehicle when I ordered it and said, no, that's not an option. I will have to pay what is on the window sticker. Not happy about that. Any options? The only thing I have in writing from the dealer is that I would pay MSRP and X-Plan. Ford Chat said that I should have gotten a purchase price protection agreement. I paid the deposit with the expectation of a certain total price. Looks like that was all BS. Now I have to pay $2K more despite putting the deposit at a lower price. This is BS.

This is the dealer being sleazy. You are definitely price protected.

You might wanna reach out to Mike Levine on Twitter

Yup. I posted in the other price thread in this forum. I'll start contacting the sales manager and go from there. If the General Manager doesn't budge, then I'll hit up Mr. Levine.

Keep us updated.
Man, I'm itching to go take a look at mine but the ETA is still 2 weeks away :(

And hopefully this software update comes in like right away in July.

How about the $350 credit for active park assist kit? I’d try to get that too or a promise to install once available.

Hope that they're just saying it out of ignorance instead of greed and malice. The purchase price protection agreement thing is nonsense; some people's dealerships were good and honorable and did it at the time of the order, but I know mine outright refused until we had a VIN. I've sort of been putting it off because I'm worried they'll be dishonorable (that's an artificial limitation they imposed, and once the VIN is set, they're getting a car to sell whether I agree to their terms or not).

I saw you received some instructions in the other thread - those were the resources I was going to review and send to my dealer if it's an issue. Let us know how it goes.

We have no negotiating power as consumers at this point... Three months into my wait, I could have afforded to abandon my order. The car will be coming about 10-11 months from my original order, and I can't afford to wait much more than that. I'm basically forced to agree to whatever price the dealer says, even if they go against their own word or Ford's policies. I think many of us are in the same situation, and I think a lot of the dealers know that.

If my dealer tries to pull any crap like that, I'll probably walk and buy the BMW i4 edrive50 that is a demo car at a dealership right near my house.

But I have faith that my dealership will honor their word...they're a smaller dealership and they aren't in the kind of area where they can put it up for a $10k markup and get someone coming in paying cash. (Also an in-law once worked and everyone there misses him - he left to take a different job - so if it comes down to it I'll just have him come in and scold them)

My dealer is doing the price when ordered Nov. 2021 and X-price and the -$350 is on the window sticker. Hope you get it worked out.

The right thing to do. That’s what I plan to ask for.

My dealer pushed me to show up in person, order at the store and sign a sales agreement detailing out the door pricing, etc. I was very tempted to do everything online because that’s what the cool kids do these days. I’m thrilled to have done it the old fashioned way. Total dumb luck.

Both Mullinax Ford dealerships had me e-sign digital build orders + price sheets via e-mail. I met them in person beforehand(for a test drive and other to learn about the ordering system) but the rest was online.

I did the same. My new sales guy is pulling some crap about the price I have isn’t matching up. No one in that dealership wants to see a little 5’1” redhead if they try to stick with that crap when my car arrives. I’m in sales so I’m hoping my sales guy is just not informed.

My sales guy at Mullinax said they are very aware of the price protection and the way it will typically work is pay the sticker price at purchase and then the rebate will be sent to us within 30-45 days. He said they have been honoring original price at time of purchase on some orders but it’s a case by case basis, typically people not using X-Plan. He said since I’m using X-Plan, I’ll likely have to wait the 30 days for the refund.
