No thread. I just took the data from the sales tracking data that users have been entering into this site, brought it in to Excel and filtered it to find the answer to the question.
Thanks for reply. The only "data" I've discovered is "submitted orders tracking list..." (https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/submitted-orders-tracking-list-and-stats-enter-yours.924/) Is this your source? I tried working with it months ago but found it's participation spotty, mostly 2021 orders, and lagging in updates, probably because so many folks were just waiting and waiting. I hope it's better, now. OPs original analysis has never been updated.
How many 2022MY CR1 and premium orders were accepted between 1 Oct 21 and 19 Feb 22? How many of those have been built and are enroute or sold? Is AWD vs RWD a factor in delayed delivery of these two models? So many questions.

I mean hard to say how many were ordered, but I did some rough calculation that assuming no large glitches in production the 2022s should be finished producing in september or october at the rate they were building them in June. So heres hoping that continues or improves as I would really like to get mine before november.

Same source. There aren’t a lot of non-spotty data sources out there, period. Most any data available (that’s not Ford itself) is based on volunteer data entry, honesty, human error, forgetfulness (“I got mine and forgot to fill in the rest of the details”), etc.
Still, when looking at the sample, there does not seem to be a significant difference in Premiums being built or scheduled when comparing the same period before and after Dec 1, 2021.
It’s all just playing with the data we have, as flawed as it might be.
If there is a better data source available, I would LOVE to see and and do some analysis.

When you take into account:

1. Factory retooling for model year changes easily runs 2-4 weeks on the average model. They have not shared what changes may come in 2023 MY, but we do know that mechanical changes have been made before, as with Job 2, and more are possible, likely, and coming (watch any Munro Live video on the Mach-E for areas Ford could/should/will improve)
2. Published schedule that 2023 builds start end of October

Just those two factors tell us that anything not built by Mid-September will likely rollover to late October Build dates (after updates and retooling) and will be 2023 model year.

I guess thats a good point, I assumed they weren't going to roll anything over to 2023 models this time around but thats always possible. I hope not since I really want to get it before december
