I can’t make my mirrors auto-fold and my dealer is useless. Ford?

I’ve had my car for a year and this has never worked right. It’s an early Job 1 ‘21, fully updated. I never get to see the puddle pony because of it.

The mirrors are fine mechanically. They fold and unfold perfectly every time you press mirror button. But when I lock my car they fold in automatically less than 10% of the time. For extra fun they only unfold about 50% of the time automatically. So if they actually folded I have to make sure to check otherwise I might drive away with them folded.

I’ve asked my dealer to look at it every time I take it in. They swear up and down it works for them. Nothing changes for me.

I’ve turned the setting on and off multiple times. I’m not leaving the fob or my phone in the car, they come with me. I turned of PaaK on my phone just in case (I have always used the fob). I get out, press the lock button on the door, and hope. The car locks every time, but the mirrors rarely move.

I have no idea what to do. I’m stuck with one fancy feature of my car that never works. And I have no avenue to fix it but hope @Ford Motor Company Sees this.

I’m tired of it. Because I’m so mad I just looked it up and I bet I can file a NHTSA complaint since the car is happy for me to drive with so side view mirrors.

Hello there! I'd be happy to look into your Mach-E's mirror issues on my end. To get started, can you send over a private message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer?

Ouch. Has your dealer checked your car’s BCM? ??
