Posting to help you and to help me in case I need to remember how to do this.

I had a terrible time setting up the Phone as a Key. First the dealer failed to set it up, but I figured it couldn't be all that hard (wrong!). I had to reset everything, but you have to know how to do that.

I deleted and reinstalled the Ford Pass app at one point because it no longer gave me the option to set up PaaK, even though it was not set up. Then I got to the point where it said it installed correctly, but would not connect to the car. The steps below really helped.

• First I deleted all Ford Bluetooth connections on the car and phone. PaaK wants to be the first connection set up to your car. No phone, no Android Auto, etc.
• Do a Ford Pass Connect Reset buried under General -> Reset -> FordPass Connect Reset -> PaaK reset. See
• In the Ford Pass app I went into Features and Settings -> PaaK Settings and deleted any existing keys.
• It stopped fighting me at this point and was set up in a couple minutes.
• For Android (not sure about Apple) you will get one or more notifications of a connection attempt. Acknowledge the pair request with the pairing number presented at the start of the process.

Ha! Still waiting. 43 days in the kc rail yard and counting! About 30 miles from the yard to the dealer. It’s honestly comical at this point.

They did push my delivery to 7/24-7/30.?‍

Mines still 7/19-7/25. And mine is at the Elkhart Railyard (for real this time), 9 miles from the dealer. It's been there 2 days after being in KC rail yard for over a month. At this point it could be on a truck now, but it could also never get on a truck.

So, all you folks that have gotten your Mach E's so far, how are you liking them? Any things you're not liking or disappointed about with it so far? Any things that you absolutely love, or that exceeded your expectations or that you didn't expect to notice about it?

I think I overhyped myself by watching so many videos that by the time my car came I was probably expecting more than the reality.. I spent way too much time trying to get the park assist to work before remembering that chip was not installed and we got a $325 credit on our sticker price. I also can’t get the damn puddle light to show to save my life, so I’m aleady ticked before I get in. Pretty sure there is no hands free trunk opening. I also saw a video with ambient lighting in the back, but I guess thats not a thing. All THAT aside, I do love it.

I saw the puddle light once and assumed I would see it every time I opened the door. I don't. Perhaps my garage needs to be nearly dark or else it will not show?

I could not get the liftgate to work. I thought someone else here got it to work so I assumed it would. It came within 1/2" of scratching the lip on my garage door hinge when I opened it manually. It extends farther out and is stronger than my Edge. I immediately toggled the switch on the console. Now the key only unlocks it.

It doesn't have ambient lighting under the seats like my Edge has. Sometimes the light comes in handy, besides looking cool. This guy confirms that. .
