Hey yall,

Has anyone bought and used the Motorcraft Premium Windshield Washer Fluid? And if so, what portion of water to washer fluid did you do? I am from the East Coast, so curious what measurements was taken, so maybe I can follow suit.

If you have not bought this, what washer fluid are you using then?

Never even knew that Ford had a branded windshield washer fluid.

In general I like to use the RainX fluid to keep up the coating in between manual applications, but if I am out and need some I will just use whatever I can find. It is windshield washer fluid - not exactly a system critical item! In the winter make sure it is good to cold temps.

I also use Rain-X. If the Motorcraft stuff is the same as the OEM fill, I don’t care for the smell.

I buy whatever is in the blue jug on sale and buy a case. Then, I use it for years and years. Zero reason to be brand loyal IMO.

In the northeast, I would not mix it with any water at all. That’s a good way of having the lines freeze in the winter.

I haven't bought any yet, but I'll be chosing a type soon because the Low Washer Fluid Warning that just started popping up is DRIVING ME CRAZY. I mean, is it really so important that I need a washer icon, a pop up warning (every time I start the car) AND a notice in Ford Pass??

Just don't mix the blue stuff and the orange stuff. Brand loyalty doesn't matter, but color loyalty does.

Just buy a gallon locally that's already premixed, then you don't have to worry about mixing it correctly and it freezing. When you buy gallons locally it's usually the correct blend for your climate. I use -20ÂşF in the summer and -35ÂşF fluid in the winter. Yes -20ÂşF fluid freezes on the windshield here in cold weather.

I've had my car 16 months and am still using the factory supplied solution. I've probably used the washer feature twice.

That's for the best since washer fluid probably causes cancer in California. ;)
I'm sure it does. OTOH, I drove round trip to San Diego last weekend, a total of 320 miles, and didn't get a single bug splat on the car. Living where there are no flying insects has its perks.

I use it to clean dust, which is more of a problem in the Spring, but I also park outside.
