It's a Ford, set your expectations low.
As much as I agree with you, take a look at the Genesis forum and see the issues with their GV60. Someone else pointed this out. I guess all the car companies are going to be going this this on their new product

neither have I, so far, but generally speaking there are issues. I have not looked at the Audi forum, but my brothers friend who has the Audi. his car got bricked on a bridge in Tampa. He sold the car right after that .

went back to ICE.

Had a first edition 2019 e-tron with some minor issues, my 2021 has been flawless. I am on 2 e-tron forums and haven't seen any discussion about any bricked e-trons...can certainly say the Audi service experience is better. But I understand Ford has a lot more vehicles going through service.

Sorry, but NO manufacturer puts a new car into the service bay to check for codes before delivery. Not Ford, Mercedes or Ferrari.

Why not?

Because a car throwing a code like this brand new but without a service engine light on the dash is……. Rare. Would be an epic waste of time and resources.

People already complain that service and delivery is too slow. No need to clog the system unnecessarily more.

Yes, it would have saved the OP a trip to the dealer, but that’s super rare again.

Glad to hear your having a good experience with the e-tron, and happy your experience with a dealership has been very positive too. I predict similar experiences might (might right?) be occurring with many of those owning Mach-Es.

!BUT the most surprising thing you said is that there is a car Internet forum that might exist where it is not a complaint fest, THAT is crazy rare! Lol.

So we're paying for "Dealer Prep" (aka ADM, aka add-on charges) but dealer prep shouldn't include prepping the car for delivery?
I believe that has been standard in the auto industry for more than half a century. Dealer prep has always been a joke.

Agreed. Just thought this was an ideal example of the fraud.

Now I'm curious.....do you mind saying which dealer in Colorado?
I don't want to throw the dealer under the bus by adding their name to this post b/c can't say if this is a dealer specific issue/policy. I would say that in the future, I will ask for the post initial inspection drive OTA fault logs before completing a purchase, and have them explain anything that seems unusual.

Also, I got my car back today. On Friday, there was no ETA on the part arrival and I got a call this afternoon saying the HVBJB had arrive and been installed. It'll take a few days of driving before I feel confident the issue has been fixed, but am very glad to have gotten my car back having gone into the weekend thinking it would take weeks for the part to arrive.

Glad to hear it's been resolved, hopefully no further issues and you get to enjoy it!
