Having some reward points to spend but couldn’t find anything better to buy so went ahead for a rear pumper protector. Got it stuck on, in the most susceptible part of the pumper to scratches, where is in the middle section it only covers a narrow one inch wide area. It’s more like a G string than a cover. Such a poor design. It ain’t cheap either. 90 bucks a piece of G string.

Let’s call it the g string for pony.
Swimwear on farm animals is a whole other section of the internet, entirely.

But seriously, folks - looks decent form the top. How thick is it on edge?

I haven't really used the back a whole lot, so haven't got much experience with what gets whacked or scraped. I'm a little more concerned about eth wear and tear on the bottom part of the gasket, since it gets some abuse from dragging stuff out.

I have had mine for a while. I wish it wrapped around the corner down part of the vertical face of the bumper. ?‍♂?

Have you seen the price of lingerie lately? The less there is, the more it costs. ??

Depends how you buy it. You bought it directly from your dealership's parts department, and paid full price. I can buy it from my dealership's internet site for $75.60.

So you paid a premium to use your points.

I'll use my points to do oil change on my Fusion.

I don’t have any other Ford for service and I’ve heard the account has to be activated in a period time.

That section of the bumper is underneath the lift gate, you wouldn’t see it until you open the gate. So it wasn’t a concern to me even it gets scratched but I had to use the points. So it gets a little protection.

Points are put into the account. Those points need to be used within a year, unless the account has any activity, i.e. new points put in or points taken out. If that happens, then the clock resets to a year again.

I had points that were expiring. I bought a nut and a bolt for $1.xx. That gave me another year. Then, when I bought the car, I used those points (plus the 22,000 new points), to buy mats and that bumper strip. Then, my 2021 that became a 2022 came in and I bought it using my remaining points (which the dealership never took out, but it was small). Now I have another 22,000 points from the new purchase. My points all now expire a year from the anniversary of the purchase of my 2022, unless I buy something else.

looks like the protector is not wrapping over the edge.... which is what gets damaged. Perhaps @AOSK , Ford, or some third-party will offer a 'real' protector that wraps over. Maybe aluminum diamond-plate with adhesive backing ?!

I've scratched mine up pretty badly already putting tools and materials in and out...

in and out....

in and out...
