I called a dealership in Oregon just this weekend about an F150 Lightening. I asked them if the 3 they had on their site were available or were they just there to generate interest. They said they were there just to generate interest but would take my name and number if a customer didn't take delivery. No more than 30 minutes later the salesperson called and said if the customer on one of them didn't contact them by EOD, it would be available. I said, cool. He then told me they would be adding a dealer markup of $30k. I replied I do not do dealer markups of any type, not even for $1. I then declined to be contacted later as I lost all faith in the dealership.
I agree with a previous comment, this puts a huge black eye on Ford.
And as another poster stated, while there are not many choices for EV's now, there will be in the future. The very near future. And I have a very long memory on dealerships that wrong me.
