The main thing for me is the fact the sometimes PAAK does not work with the walk away lock feature so I’m left wondering wether the car is locked or not. My Hyundai would warn me when car was left unlocked. I feel like it’s such a simple fix
You can have the Walkway lock send an alert to the phone so you know if the Walkaway lock functioned.

Except FordPass "alerts" don't alert you.

Open door.
Hit lock button on inside of door.
Close door.

Ahhh…good point. Our Volvo does the same thing, and my wife made the same comment. Really no excuse

It doesn’t work every time with PAAK even when I’m alone. Should work every single time I left the car unlocked several times since I got the car since I’m so used to both my previous cars worked. I’m trying to re-educate myself now.

Since you know it doesn’t work every time, I would suggest just locking the car when you want it to be locked. I hit the little padlock on the door pillar when I get out of the car and watch the mirrors fold so I know it’s locked. I never thought it was difficult to lock a car, so I still don’t see the need for walk-away locking.

Being the child of a hyper-paranoid master locksmith, I have always been in the habit of locking doors. There are several buttons on this car that accomplish this task. When I open the door, my hand automatically slides from the release handle to the lock button. I don’t even think about it, so I also always look for the evidence that the doors are locked (mirrors retracted in this case). I also pretty much always have my picks on me. ?‍♂?

I don’t use PAAK, either so normally this is no issue for me. The only time I wondered about whether the car had locked, my grandson was slowly exiting the back seat and I thought perhaps I was too far away before he closed the door in order for the walk away lock to function. We get inside and I wonder “did I hear the horn or not?”
We also don't get walk away lock although If we do it's never worked for me. Even my Renault Laguna from 2010 did this.

You can also hold your fingers on the 7/8 & 9/0 buttons to lock.

Back when Ford was more open with their data I used to have a Siri shortcut that would run every night to tell me if the car was locked, plugged in, and had started charging. It was great until they started locking it all down.

Cool I guess we got options. Does anyone know if you can open the trunk with the door code? I can only open the frunk

Yup, enter your code and then hold 5/6.
Corrected from my original post.

How about add a scheduler to auto lock in case PAAK walk away lock doesn’t work?

You can add FordPass to your Amazon Alexa account and set up a schedule/routine there.

That opens the frunk, not the trunk. There‘s a different number that’s supposed to open the trunk, but it doesn’t work on the MME.
DOH! Misread.

Yeah, but that won’t tell you if the car is locked unfortunately.
