Am I missing something or there’s no way to check door lock status on app? How about add a scheduler to auto lock in case PAAK walk away lock doesn’t work? Which happens frequently? I mean come on Ford

Correct. The data is there, it just doesn’t get displayed in the app. That’s why a lot of us turned to the widget.

I see. I just got the widget and checked the thread on it seems to be dead. Can you point me in the right direction? I’m not a programmer I’m sure someone has written a script and would like to share?

Install the widget and risk having your Ford Pass cut off. Not worth it.

Just use FordPass Pro. It shows lock status.

Ohh boy, if this is your first ford and you just got it, you're in for a rough ride, Ford's apps are pretty crappy. There are alternatives but you risk getting your Ford Pass account locked (yet another dumb move by Ford).

My first modern ford yeah. I mean I love the car itself. I was between Tesla y and the mache I’m pretty happy i didn’t go the other way. Tesla not having CarPlay for me was a deal breaker and I didn’t care for its bare bones interior either.

Not an excuse for a poor UX, but if you are unsure you can always just hit the Lock icon…not a biggie. But yeah, head scratcher

The main thing for me is the fact the sometimes PAAK does not work with the walk away lock feature so I’m left wondering wether the car is locked or not. My Hyundai would warn me when car was left unlocked. I feel like it’s such a simple fix

As we have all learned, just because it’s simple doesn’t mean Ford will actually fix it. Job 1 2021s still don’t have a remote frunk release. It’s been almost 2 years.

I just always lock the door as I'm getting out. I don't trust the walk away feature. The only issue is that 20% of the time, the car honks at me after closing the door thinking my phone is still inside (often after it warns me I cannot restart the car because it can't detect my phone (PAAK) inside the car). If you have passengers, you also need to wait to lock it until after all the passengers have opened their doors.

Any time I have doubts about whether the car locked or not, I open the app and tell it to lock. Better than nothing!
The mirrors fold in when I lock mine either using the key or touching the lock symbol just above the door button. In the U.K. so no PAAK.

I don’t use PAAK, either so normally this is no issue for me. The only time I wondered about whether the car had locked, my grandson was slowly exiting the back seat and I thought perhaps I was too far away before he closed the door in order for the walk away lock to function. We get inside and I wonder “did I hear the horn or not?”
