Amazing news: Winter Package for the Select model adds back the heated/memory seats

I dont know if you heard it but Ford decided to create a « winter » package for the select model… adding back the heated/memory seats !! Im in Canada so i dont know if its the same thing in the US but i thought that ill share the news !!

My Vancouver friends just mock me that I complain when it is 68F (20C) here. I suspect it will not be a popular option in da islands.
But, loving Canada as we do, and especially the beauty of Banff, Victoria & Vancouver, I appreciate how a warm seat can improve one's driving experience.

Wow. Heated seats/steering wheel is one of the main reasons I chose a Premium for my order (U.S. order). I wanted the heated seats - and yes I live in CA !! Glass roof wasn't a deal-breaker. But the heated seats for the Select didn't seem to be an option when I was choosing (on Aug 30).

For me the tech package was the deal breaker. But I just got a VIN and scheduled week of production for mine so too late to change anything even if they brought back the tech package. I went Premium ER.

Slightly off topic but I picked up Ford’s Winter Performance Package yesterday from the dealer for my Premium - 18” alloy rims and Genreal Tire Altimax snows (not my fav, but not much choice) and was quite surprised to see “FoMoCo” stamped on the back of the wheels.

Turns out they are the stock dark gray 18” the Select comes standard with. Had no idea they sold them as ”parts” as well.

I "built" a '23 Select on Ford.ca . There is no heated seat and wheel option in the 100A equipment group?

To be honest with you, i dont know if its something exclusive for the canadian market since our winters are way colder…we just received an email for our dealer saying that those features were added back and several people also confirmed that…

Youre right..when ford gave the details regarding the 2023 select model back in august, the comfort package that used to include the heated seats was removed…they just added back some of the featured from that package…we still dont have the power lifgate or the folding mirrors…but ill take the heated seats…

Going for the premium here means adding at least 20k from your pocket because you lose the incentive…

Wow, I have never used heated steering and seats - living in So Cal.

Sunny 350 days out of the year and temps never go below 50 degrees.

Incoming '23 Premium w/ $6K PCO has glass roof which I am going to hate with a passion.

Haha…lucky you…here we can go up to minus 40 degrees …it gives you an idea on how important are the heated seats

Which dealership did you get your winter tires from? I don't think my local dealer is using the Original select rims in their winter package.

I live in the Bay Area right on the coast. There are enough cold mornings/evenings where having heated seats and a heated steering wheel are must-haves. Used them tonight, in fact. Wife won’t buy another car without them.
