Got back in today. Went through ford pass to chat with someone to advance it last Friday.Still waiting on 3.6.1....an to actually get back into my Ford account. They are "working" on it still
Yes, @Ford Motor Company needs to get their act together and make other markets outside the US feel like they not second class. In Europe we are so behind!!
EU has many more, and more complex, laws around data use. An update that can be deployed "instantly" in NA takes significantly longer for EU vehicles, as it has to clear all the EU regulatory hurdles. Certainly not a "second class" issue.Yes, @Ford Motor Company needs to get their act together and make other markets outside the US feel like they not second class.
It did "increase" my range by ~60 miles! /sNo BCM update, no frunk button, no deal!
https://www.earlyaccess.ford.com/is there a way to sign up for the EA program to get them sooner?
Same.I have this update set to install tonight. Are you in EA? I also got the notice about Intelligent Range being turned off, I assumed this update was that.
Probably a bug fix disguised as an update. That or they changed the seed on the random number generator for the range indicator.Same.
Seems like this update is actually a downgrade……. Just turning off the intelligent range.
I hope they snuck some other bug fixes in there though. The daily profile issue is getting old.
Like you I'm already running most of these same versions in my 21J1. (Some may be different between MY).So this does look like a newer version of powertrain software than I currently have, but nothing is showing up for me (OTA or FDRS). Except for BECM version, which the same version I currently have (which I flashed in late September). I hope the OTA server is checking all the versions instead of just the BECM version.
I think EA is often used for testing the OTA deployment process more than the actual software version they're deploying.Like you I'm already running most of these same versions in my 21J1. (Some may be different between MY).
I think it's odd that if you're in EA that you get pushed something (assuming your a beta tester as part of the EA program) that also appears within a day or so in FDRS..or sometimes before the the OTA even rolls out. So if you have FDRS you essentially are getting the same stuff that EA folks are getting and sometimes faster.
