Mach-E GT Performance Edition - Shadow Black
Country flag
Thanks for the info. Trying to decide to add the Nite Pony package. I am potentially ordering the MME GT Performance Edition tomorrow (test drive a GT tomorrow so may pull the trigger afterwards). Leaning toward that red metallic, which I think would give good contrast to black wheels. I was first thinkiing of getting the car in black and didnt like the combination of black paint and black wheels. Anyway, when using the Build and Price, the only change I am seeing is the blacked out wheels and the logo on the back being blacked out. I think the Pony up front and any other features are already standard for PE. It only adds $800 to the build so only slightly more than having it done aftermarket. Even with those few additions, it actually seems like a good deal since it will be done prior to pickup (less hassle) and should have a good warranty.

If they wanted $1500 though it would be a no brainier to do aftermarket. Anyone confirm those five items are it for the PE version?
Regarding the test drive, the GT seats are different than the PE. Try and at least ask your dealer if you can sit in a PE as the headrest can’t be adjusted and the bolsters are more aggressive. The suspension is better in the PE as well.

I'm gonna say it again: Black wheels and three black badges. Rip-off for $800.00. The badges they actually can get made more cheaply since they don’t have to metallize the plastic. The wheels they can get made more cheaply because they don’t have to machine the paint off before clear coating. ??

True, but if an aftermarket place charges you $500 to $600 to do the wheels (which somone quoted on here as saying was the case), then that $800 doesn't seem so bad. Note I am not bothering to factor in the badges as I know that is a moot point.

One of the things I hate most about getting a car is immediately having to drop it off to get window tint, PPE, cQuartz, etc. All of those take a few days to complete, even if you can find a one stop shop. This would be one other thing you would have to deal with when all you want to do is play with your new car. On top of that, I would hope that Ford's warranty would be much better than some mom and pop shop.

Has anyone tracked down the part numbers for the emblems and side badges. My car already has black wheels but the rest of the badges would be cool

I'm with you. I'll also be ordering the blacked out "GT" badge for the back of my 21 GT. I'm not a fan of plastidip.

That’s nothing. Boat motor manufacturers charge $3500 if you want white paint instead of blue.

Why? Because they can.

Profit has always been in the options.

I'm still getting the package. I've done all the DIY wheel coating in the past and it's looks great but thus time I just want tplug n play if you get my drift lol.... I thought it was funny afleast
In my area black powder coating is about $600 plus mount and balance of the tires.
Same here that's why 200 extra bucks is not a big deal to me to just have it done already!

Agreed, plus most places charge to dismount and remount and balance your tires. If you are ordering a new MME the Nite Pony package is a good deal.

Anyone had luck finding the Nite Pony part numbers for badges?

I've tried searching the parts.ford.com site but haven't found them. Admittedly, It's my first time searching there, I may have missed them?

I see 16720C and 16720D for the MachE4x side logos and 42528B for the rear GT logo (I have GTPE). I didn't find anything noting the Nite Pony package or Black Emblems.

Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

Know what's funny about the 'black' GTPE wheels? It actually costs more money to machine the face off post finishing. The "dark" wheels are cheaper to produce as it doesn't undergo machining.
? ? ?

I'm going to sandblast my gtpe wheels and powder coat them black and sell them as night pony wheels

I know this is a semi old post but my 2023 arrived with the nite pony package and the gt badge and pony on the front are identical to my 2022 gtpe. The only difference are the wheels. Not sure why Ford said the badges would be different but they definitely aren't on the gtpe. Maybe on the premium since the pony doesn't light up? Anyway, glad I saved $6k and stayed with the 2022 since the only difference between the 2 was the nite pony package.

Wow. Just wow.

Come on, man! Ford's marketing team continues to not look good when it comes to advertising what's actually on these GT cars and what the cars actually capabilities are.
