I am trying to clean under the rear seat cushion because my son spilt some cracker crumbs and that went into the seat belt buckle.

I see that there are just latches and sockets and no fasteners according to Munro Live YouTube video here:

Another video shows the similar latches and sockets and it was a simple mechanism.

I think it would be just a simple pull-up action and I don't even need to loosen any bolts as I will just simply vacuum there.

Has anyone had the same experience or any prior knowledge regarding this part?

Just pull up to release the two retainers. There are wires attached to the buckles underneath so be careful. Push back down to replace.
Awesome! That was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much!

Yep. It’s tight. But a solid yank is all that’s required. Putting it back is a workout though. Or it was when I first installed thick seat covers and then tried to replace it.

I accidentally discovered this during my test drive. ?

The biggest obstacle to reinstalling the lower cushion is the seat belt buckles. The cushion won't clip in while any of the buckles are covered or pinched.

Cleaning done! It was a really easy job. Pulling it up was quite easy, and the messy was not bad as well. Replacement was also easy. Except taking care of buckles from pinching by the cushion, just gently pressing the retainer spots worked!

Useful. Thanks. Much much easier than removing the rear top seat backs.
