Actually it seems Mercedes is the true competition here. It was just certified for Level 3 autonomy in CO, I think that was the state. CA next. For clarity, Level 3 apparently equates to hands free and eyes off the road.
When you read about what it actually means we are very close to L3, I could see Ford getting certified and we get it, if Mercedes paved the way.

4.1.2 installed successfully last night - looks great so far. No real issues so far either. It booted up in light mode, but a toggle from dark to light and back to dark fixed it (no reboots necessary). Love having a quick camera toggle on main screen. It does seem a bit snappier, but maybe a placebo. Will add frunk button next time I do FDRS updates.

To recap, I was on 3.5.4.2 since October 25th. (and I'm in EA)
3.6.2 Received 01/05/23
4.1.1 Received 01/06/23
4.1.2 Received 01/09/23

I'm only reporting for completeness, in case it means something to Ford software developers:
After the update, the first time I went to watch YouTube, when I adjusted the volume from screen knob or steering wheel, the radial volume overlay around the screen knob did not show up, no matter how many times I adjusted volume. However, every time I've tried YouTube over the next few days, the volume overlay worked fine. I didn't try the other knob controls at that original attempt.

This is a great policy. Wish more companies would enforce it since it certainly is a way to identify problems that could occur in the future, or cause issues in a future update.

I believe that L3 means that, under certain circumstances, the driver can be performing another task and not actively paying attention to the car while it is driving. I’m pretty sure the Mustang Mach E doesn’t have the sensor suite needed to support L3 (just my personal opinion and this is a field where I have no domain expertise. I welcome the Elon Musks of the world to shoot me down 😉)

We have a nanny cam, so I would think if we got L3 approval they could just not require that below 40mph?

Can anyone report on if the YouTube browser is faster after 4.1.2?

Got 4.1.2 today. 2021 GTPE.

I was actually going to post a thread because my screen earlier today was taking forever to load, and the “beeps” when you start the car were higher pitched and sounded different.

An hour later, new update showed up. Must have been updating when it wasn’t responding.

An hour before update:
Ford Mustang Mach-E 4.1.2 OTA pushes to Early Access Mach-E owners C09C9721-F65D-4A67-B150-5B925E0B88C9

After update:
Ford Mustang Mach-E 4.1.2 OTA pushes to Early Access Mach-E owners 7AD8C605-6FC8-4365-80BD-6133FE4898F8

Side note: could be a coincidence, but the exterior temp is accurate after the update and inflated before.

I say coincidence because the first pic is after parking in an open lot with the front facing the sun, 2nd in a shaded parking garage.

Interesting, hopefully this means they'll be getting us on 4.1.2 soon. I also have a 2021 Job 2 GTPE and have been on 3.6.2 for a while now, got it first day it was sent out, but it seemed to have blocked me from getting 4.1.2, as I don't have that update in FDRS and other 2021 Job 2s have had it available.

Would you mind sending me your VIN? Curious if yours shows the update available.
And I just got 4.1.1 pushed through last night. I’ll PM you my VIN. I’ve got a 10k service lined up this Friday and would be curious if I’ve got a list of updates they can do besides just the heat improvement below -15•C/5•F.

I was pushed 3.6.2 yesterday; it's the first update that I've received OTA since October.
