A house down the street a few blocks from work has had a black Premium since before my car’s VIN was even assigned. There is now a grey/white Permium parked in front of that house. I guess they got a newer one. That’s the closest parallel I can think of since I don’t wait in the drop off line for school. ?‍♂?

Day after our next-door-neighbor saw ours and rode with me(he was out of town when we brought it home after 8 months of waiting), he went and got same model different color!

Does anybody else, when they see this thread title, immediately get the "It's over!" speech from Rambo in their head?

I really wish we didn't move my son to a new school. The teachers open the car door in line at his old school, and despite it being a fancy Connecticut private school where every other car was a Tesla, they never quite got the hang of those doors. We would have been sitting there for a week in the MME until someone figured it out...

New school is more along the lines of "If you can't open your own damn door, don't come in here." I like it a little better...

I still have people who do not know anything about the car or how to open the door. It is fun when they do understand that it is a electric car.

I live the SF Bay Area so there are few MME's driving around, not as common as it used to be. I only know of two Cyber Orange cars, mine and @scoopman. Hopefully it will remain that way, since that color is special to me.

I always try to waive at other MME owners, as I am passing them. However, we think of our cars as special and we belong to the MME club. I think most people just buy "cars and drive them". I have yet to get a friendly look or wave back. ☹

There’s a Cyber Orange Premium about 3/8 mile from me. It’s weird seeing that color on a non-GT. ??

Yesterday I waved at a White/Grey GT-PE that was overtaking me on NB 101 in Belmont, hand and arm out the window, with no response. I would say close to 3/4 don’t respond when I wave. Sad. ??

This photo I snapped today still basically represents the Bay Area and EVs (and probably car selection in general in the area!)

4 grey boring Teslas in a row.... And me trolling them to take the photo.

I’m very confused. Y’all drive your children to school and the schools have doormen who hold the car doors for your kids? I live in a pretty affluent school district in the Philadelphia suburbs and, as far as I can tell, the vast majority of children ride school busses, just as I did, and if our schools had doormen holding car doors for kids, I’d be really annoyed as a school district taxpayer. (Actually, some of the kids in my neighborhood WALK to the middle school across the street ?)

someone has to open the door for the kids to get in the car, it's the teachers that do that, no doormen. Plenty of cities in America aren't built for children to walk or bike to school. My kids ride their bikes 99% of the time, but hundreds of other parents go through the car line every day to pick up their kids

When I took my grand daughter to school in Sep. the "door person" tried to twist the handle on the front door. Very entertaining watching that.

Because I wfh and look for any excuse to drive one kid rides the bus, the other gets dropped off. But the teachers outside walk up to open the door for the kids if they are near, and they are always puzzled by the button, but now starting to get the hang of it.

We have no bus service because we don't live in the same district as the school. Also wfh/need to get out. Also twisty roads on the way to school
