What in the world is that? Something like, at your current speed, you will collide with the car in front of you in X seconds? Genuinely no clue what you're looking for with #7...liking the other ideas though!
May be not the actual seconds, but may be whether you are at a safe distance at the current speed.

agreed. If the competition can give it why can’t ford? The center is the trip Mi/KWH you also can click and see mi/kWh since last charge and the number on the bottom is overall since last reset. It’s also nice to have your charging rate…. And battery heating status (red coils in battery charge display in lower left) and it does show your song playing but only as the song starts…..
And why not a heads up display…. The Mach E does cost more than my EV..

The main issue with that, I think, is liability. Sucks to frame it that way, I know, but imagine the case: "Ford said I was following at a safe distance, but we still crashed into the car in front and now we suffered all these damages!"

But I will note that the adaptive cruise control tries to do what you're saying, just at a set distance (not dependent by current speed). This is not exactly ideal, though, and I think if it accounted for speed, that would be a nice improvement.

It’s the time gap between you and the vehicle in front of you. Meaning that you will pass the same point in the road x seconds after they do. In driver’s ED they teach you to leave a 2-4 second gap in front of you.

The adaptive cruise control radar calculates all these numbers, but they aren’t displayed. In the picture above you see distance, time gap, and speed of the vehicle in front of you.

I wish we got themed updates! It would be so cool to have an update focused on EV metrics. But we all know the answer to this question
Ever seen an Internet forum with more than 2 themes?

If you have there was probably a dedicated soul that handled just the "hey under this theme my button is square not round" issues. Or it was a cluster of mix/matched buttons and images. I used to have a site, made 8 themes for the forum. That became an utter nightmare to maintain, it became black or white default themes.
<Left for prosperities sake, was a draft that keeps getting put back into my replies>

That. Even actual size on that 3 inch tall driver screen. lol.

I get it. you like numbers. Lots of them. All over a tiny screen. But.. whats wrong with Red, Orange, Blue? Who need to know FPS (in a MachE. If towing with a truck sure.).. Like more than 3 people would ever know how many feet each white stripe is and how that connects to the 3 4 sets of numbers on that display.

I more so mean like a focus area with updates, meaning they focus solely on EV metrics.

Here it is. The circle around the GOM is the SoC indicator.

Given the heaps of praise that vehicle has received, I'm serious shocked by this. I suppose you just get used to it. Can you charge every night?

A “Quiet Screen“ is available that shows SoC, but you lose a bunch of other stuff, some useful, some not. Why wouldn’t one be able to charge every night?

Which circle I see, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 at least 5~!
The circle on the left surrounding the GOM. The right half is SoC with labels for 0 and 100%.

Obviously all that would look bad, I just want the seconds displayed. I don’t find the colors particularly useful. But combined with seconds would allow you to fine tune your following distances and time your lane changes perfectly before the car slows down.

I don't automatically assume everyone has access to home charging.
