Good Morning. Where would you like me to start ?
Car sat on the rack for over a month due to incorrect HVJB ordered.
DTE daily resets to 450km.
Departure works 10% of the time.
Charging paused randomly.
PAAK works 5 % of the time.
My frunk latch is broken again.
Consumption doesn't match driving conditions.
Slow DCFC charging. ( like 40 kw on a 200 kw charger )

ABOVE ALL.. MY FAMILY FREEZES IN THIS CAR. This car is dangerous.

You tell me its operating as designed, but cant exactly tell me what the design is ?

I make sure i tell everyone i know about my experiences with the car, and more importantly, the FORD response.
Makes you wonder how much truth to the statement this Ford rep gave.

Hi @Ford of Canada

I have an issue with the charging limits in my 2022 Mach-E.

I regularly charge my car in my building provided DCFCs. They do only 50 kW and the car usually pulls only 44 kW.

My main issue is that the car never stops charging at the 80% configured level. The car recognizes it is at home and I can follow the charging progress from my Ford Pass App but I don't have any option to stop charging remotely and when I get the information that the car reached 80% in my phone, I have to hurry downstairs to unplug it as it always continues charging. Most of the time when I get to the car it has been charged to 84% or more.

There is no WiFi in the condo parking and only a very faint 4G connection (thus I can get updates from the car) as it's inside the building, surounded by concrete.

Checking the Forum, this seems to be a common issue that is waiting a software fix. Any info when this will be finally coming?

Thank you!

Hi @Ford of Canada
I have a 2021 mach e premium lagging behind my fully updated 2022 select. The premium is at 2.7.4 and seems to be holding steady, my ford dealer seems to think there's nothing wrong with it ,but why is one receiving all updates sitting right next to one getting none? All settings and schedules are set up for OTA's.
Thank you for your time

Thank you for this post!

I respectfully submit that the rolling updates concept is fundamentally flawed in the era of immediate iOS and iPadOS updates. The expectation has been set that as soon as I know an update is publicly available I can immediately download and install said update. Please switch to this model!

If I don’t install the update for a number of weeks, please by all means notify to download the update.

I took delivery of my brand new ‘23 Mach E GT on 12/22/22. I am still stuck with the version of software applied at the factory. Others already have the update with much older cars! Having to just wait until Ford decides my car is worthy of the next update is very disappointing. I want my camera button up top and I want it now!!!

BTW: We love the car!

PS: physical Frunk and rear hatch buttons are also desired. I have them in my Lightning! A retrofit kit is highly desired!

Hi, lil demon – Ford Power-Up Software Updates are released on a rolling basis and are individualized for all of our eligible vehicles. By default, eligible vehicles will start the update process as soon as a new software version is released and made available for each vehicle’s specific model. You can verify that your SYNC system is up-to-date in your Mustang Mach-E Premium by following these steps:
  • Go to Settings.
  • Select System Updates on the vehicle’s SYNC screen.
  • Review the “Update Details” section for information on the Ford Power-Up Software Update.
  • Click Update on the screen to have the installation take place if the system is not up-to-date.
If there are any additional concerns you have regarding your Mustang Mach-E Premium, we invite you to send us a private message with your VIN and some additional information, and we’d be happy to take a closer look for you.

Samsung phones not being able to end a phone call correctly is a pain (not just my car, confirmed in at least one other Mach-E and several other users here).

The random fogging of windows because ford decided it was a good idea to close the air intake damper every now and then, again not just my car.

I say "not just my car" because i don't want you simply asking me to send you a private message with my VIN as these problems are affecting many others... It's not my car, it's Ford...

Oh and for the record, I love Ford, i'm not angry, i'm disappointed, I truly hope Ford fixes all this and we can forget about it.
We appreciate the honesty, Aramis76. We are committed to customer satisfaction, and we are happy to investigate this situation regarding your Mustang Mach-E’s air intake damper if you would like to send us your VIN and some more details.

If I skip my 10,000km inspection, does that void my warranty or have any negative affect on the vehicle?

From what I gathered it's mostly for a tire rotation, visual inspection and topping up your fluid (aka windshield fluid). I already have tires rotated due to snow/all seasons.

Thanks for this warranty inquiry, SlimothyJames. Ford of Canada recommends customers to follow the maintenance schedule outlined in the Mustang Mach-E Owner’s Manual. For your convenience, you can view / download a free PDF copy of your owner’s manual at the following link: https://www.fleet.ford.ca/parts-service/resources/owner-manuals/. Proper maintenance guards against major repair expenses resulting from neglect or inadequate maintenance and is important in allowing your vehicle to comply with applicable emissions standards. It is your responsibility to make sure that all of the scheduled maintenance is performed and that the materials used meet Ford engineering specifications. Failure to perform scheduled maintenance as specified in the Owner’s Manual will invalidate warranty coverage on parts affected by the lack of maintenance. Make sure that receipts for completed maintenance work are retained with the vehicle and confirmation of maintenance work is entered in your Owner’s Manual. If you ever have questions pertaining to specific warranties on your Mustang Mach-E, we recommend reaching out to the Service Manager at your local Ford Dealership, as they would be in the best position to provide more information.

Thank you.

This is why it's hard to give dealers credibility. Owner's manual shows regular maintenance interval at 12mo or 16,000km. I was told every 6mo or 10,000km by the dealer.

Hi @Ford of Canada

I had a question on the OTA and version we should be on. I havent recieved an OTA update in months (I think September/October last year for the recall update, June 2022 for the last normal update) and when I took it into the dealership they said the updates were on hold for blue cruise.

Ive seen online that some mach es are on version 3.something but the update I got was a 2. update. My update screen also doesnt tell me what version Im on anymore.

So are canadian mach es on a different update version then america (where Im guessing they are on the latest 3 and 4 updates). Or are OTA updates not going out for 2021 models?

Hi, Ryllon – Ford Power-Up Software Updates are released on a rolling basis and are individualized for all of our eligible vehicles. As long as your Mustang Mach-E’s SYNC screen confirms that your software version is up-to-date, there is no further action needed on your behalf. You can verify that your SYNC system is up-to-date in your Mustang Mach-E by following these steps:
  • Go to Settings.
  • Select System Updates on the vehicle’s SYNC screen.
  • Review the “Update Details” section for information on the Ford Power-Up Software Update.
  • Click Update on the screen to have the installation take place if the system is not up-to-date.
If you’d like, you can send us a private message with your VIN, and we’d be happy to take a closer look at your specific situation for you.
