Is there a way to tune acceleration, when cruise control starts driving from full stop?
It is really slow for some reason, I had to intervene to drive normally.

might this be related to the distance setting for the car ahead of you? i have not experimented with this.

No, it's just very conservative since the radar has a difficult time detecting slow moving objects from a stop (the car in front of you can become almost indistinguishable from the ground at slow speeds to the radar). It's a limitation of the technology, so you might just have to help it with your right foot. I usually use the accelerator to help it get going too.

It’s a level 2 system. Intervening is part of your job. It’s cruise control. Not accelerating from a dead stop control.

I've posted on this a few times... Radar controlled cruise ignores stopped cars because if it didn't it wouldn't work at all. From a radar perspective, it can't tell the difference between a road sign, a steel overpass, and a stopped car.

Here is article on it. https://www.wired.com/story/tesla-autopilot-why-crash-radar/

The ACC is super-conservative in acceleration and more aggressive on braking. Just use the Go pedal to increase the rate of SoC depletion. ?‍♂?

Regarding parked cars, my car sometimes thinks they’re in front of me. There is a slow right-hander near where I live where the ACC mashes the brakes if there are one or more cars parked on the side of the road. I also get the collision alarm and sometimes automated emergency braking. So far, not with anyone behind me. Best way for me to not have any of this happen is to straddle the double yellow line. That, of course makes me drive on the wrong side of the road (so I don’t do it). I should probably disable the automated emergency braking but I am a lazy dog. I’m built for chilling in the frunk. ??

Agreed, though I didn't know the reason for it being so conservative. But an added benefit of using the accelerator is that it is more convenient than pressing the Restart button on the steering wheel (at least I think it is), so you get going faster and it's just a ingle gesture.
