I'm a fanatic when it comes to the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey.

@B25Nut , OK, I'll admit that I thought it had something to do with soccer. I didn't realize it was HAL.

How'd you get HAL on your screen?
I modified a Moebius Models kit of the HAL eye:

Ford Mustang Mach-E My Take on Side Stripes 1634939275407

I put a suction cup on the back to adhere it to the screen. I was able to work around the functions it covered up but last week I saw how much of the rear camera view it blocked so I went with my alternate plan of using a cell phone holder.

The "earmuffs" on the sides of the Mach-E are magnetic signs made from photos of another Moebius Models kit I made of the EVA Pod.

Stay subtle. Gloss finish black with matching hood stripes. You can't go wrong if you match the trim.
I've got a IB on order and have been playing with the idea of side stripes. I have had a similar problem with deciding on color, but it seem like black would be the way to go, as long the car color isn't darker than what I've seen.

Gloss black would work as that would match the cladding. Not so sure about Matte Black. Might be hard to see it on IB.

I like brighter colors. I wish I could find this design in the electric green or blue Ford used in their intro videos and commercials for the Mach-e. Even 3M Sky Blue would work better for me. I'm leaning towards Silver as I've always liked Sliver striping on Blue Mustangs.

I wanted side stripes that were a little different than what @Murse-In-Airy put on his MME (which I like).

As you see, these have a Pony, they say mach-e, and they fade.

I installed them myself and did manage to make a few mistakes. However, I did a bunch of learning for next time.

@Rafgar, I like the fade so I ordered the same design but had them change the side to just "GT". Here's the example they provided (shipped out today):

I'm leaning towards getting these. I like the stripe look over the badge. Anyone know of any local installers in the DC area?

@ChasingCoral and @Kamuelaflyer -
I got them through https://autodesign.shop/

I worked with Rasa Ambrutiene ([email protected]). The process was pretty simple. I emailed them with a description of what I wanted while pointing them to one of their current offerings - https://autodesign.shop/collections...panel-side-stripes-for-ford-mustang-2005-2014. We worked from there to a couple of alternatives from which I selected the final product. For example, I had them prepare the stripes with and without the fading hash.

Rasa was very responsive and their designers helped create this style. Shipping was quick even though it was a bit expensive. Overall, I'm highly satisfied with their product.

I have no affiliation with Auto Design and get nothing for any recommendations. They do good work and I recommend them.

@Murse-In-Airy the cross hatching (fading) does not require any cutting - they come that way. You just have to be careful peeling the backing (one of the lessons I learned).
Reviving an old thread to say… I bought these stripes today for my new MME. Thanks again for sharing these.

@Murse-In-Airy Congratulations! I would love to see pictures when you have them installed. Mine still look great and I'm very happy with them. My sister put a set of these on her Mach-E a few months ago.

Hello Rafgar and MacheE afficianados! This is my first ever post, as I'm officially part of the club at of Nov 2022! Rafgar, THANK YOU for this awesome post, it literally inspired me to do a very similar styling! I too used https://autodesign.shop/ and it was "good" but a mixed bag. My side detailing is identical, and I paid a local Seattle based shop a few hundred to install them. The stripes turned out perfect, the front "grill" though it fit 100% correct, was a bit trickier to install it was not a "wet" install. I ended up having a custom grill made. The hood was original from autodesign and turned out perfect. Enjoy!

PS: To make the stripes work, we BOTH (I'm sure) had to remove the "MachE4" factory logo off the side or the stirpes would be over the top/cut around the plastic decal. I was able to remove it without breaking to fashion it into a side work of art to glue onto a "Reserved Parking for EV's " sign. :)

Very nice! Do I see that you removed the factory badging? I took possession of mine a week ago and just noticed that that part of the badge had snapped off (as documented by others elsewhere). I was thinking maybe just remove those badges entirely and this looks like an excellent solution! Thanks for sharing!
(Yep, I had to remove the factory badging too; was hesitant but was worth it, kept them mostly in tact and glad I did). :)

Hi @TurboC welcome to the club. I love what you did with your car. The additional hood and grill decals look great. Of course, the side stripes are fantastic! ;-) FYI, mine are nearly 2 years old and still look as good as the day I installed them.
