You could, but I hope your shoulders are in better shape than mine. The dual action random orbit buffer/polishers are pretty fool proof as long as you don’t leave it in the exact same spot for a long time. I got the one at Harbor Freight which is actually very comparable to the ones Griot’s and Adam’s sell (for a third of the price). I only used fine and ultra fine foam pads with gentle compounds to ensure I didn’t overdo anything and mess up the finish.Thank you for the advice . I've never used a mechanical buffer and would be afraid I'd damage the paint finish on the car. Could I hand buff instead?
