You're current with 4.2.2 OTAs. BlueCruise seems activated. You have a couple codes in the IPMA (camera module) that might be preventing it from working.

B1578:78 - Park assist camera alignment
B12BF:96 - Right front camera component failure

This TSB is what you want done: https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...ilable-and-b1578-78-stored-in-the-ipma.25494/

Dealer should look into that camera failure, run the routine to reset the IPMA learned values, recalibrate the cameras, and reconfigure the IPC per the TSB:

You also have a failure code in your PSCM (power steering motor), U3000:49. You probably got a message "Steering assist fault service required" looks like back in Jan? That code will stop BlueCruise from working until it is fixed and cleared with this routine:

The rest of your software updates aren't critical but you should see about having them done as well.

So it looks like your dealer has some work to do to fix your errors.
Wow. I ask them and they come up with nothing wrong. Depressing. I really appreciate the run. It is quite a lot to be looked at, so I will bring it in again. Thanks very much.

Perhaps look in the regional forums for a NJ dealer that has gotten good reviews working on software module updates. If its a few extra miles to go, might be worth it if they can knock out your remaining issues.

Based upon what Mach-Lee was able to pull up, and what I experienced, it seems like there should be some standard troubleshooting procedures for this.
  • Check cameras
  • Check steering
  • Cheek lane centering
  • Etc.

Add me to the list. Details in the link below. My dealer tried 21G01 twice without success. They unstuck my OTA updates, but did not result in BC. Been waiting for the 21G01 hold from December to be lifted to go back and try again. Got 4.2.1 today, so OTA continues to work. Just no BC.

A few weeks after the last attempt at 21G01, my connected services showed BC had been activated with a 12/8 start date. I called customer service and they don't know if they will be able to extend the trial period even though BC has never worked. Not really any reason to do anything until I get BC to actually work.

HFBC worked for the first time today! Something in PowerUp 4.2.2 enabled it to work. I see nothing obvious in the release notes, but whatever it was seems to have "completed" my prior 21G01 updates.

I just got 4.2.2 a couple of days ago and I'm about to leave for work, so fingers crossed, I'm gonna check mine on the highway to see if it finally works.

Good timing on this post... I have a Job 1 First Edition and BC never worked. For two years. I was also stuck not getting any updates for more than a year. In October after my 4th dealer visit they claimed I was "unstuck" but they couldn't install BC. I got a few updates in December and January - my last update was Jan 5 to 2.7.3.

Then THIS WEEK I received 3 different updates all right after each other, including 2.8.1, 22-PU0727-VI-FXB, and then 22-PU0707-SCH-POPB and I crap you not, BC finally works!!!!

Will I get any more updates? Who knows? This was my biggest outstanding problem - other hardware stuff the dealer could fix but not the software.

Congrats. I had someone with a FRDS account tell me I have to have something fixed at the dealer to get bluecruise to work. I was so hopeful, since I got some recent upgrades and it seems some had gotten BC to work from them like you. But, no love for me.

I have a J1 car and I JUST got the Bluecruise software this weekend. I even brought it to the dealership in Nov 2022 and Jan 2023 and was told both times they couldn't do the software installation. I have no idea why I had to wait this long for it to suddenly appear, but at least I finally have it to try.
