Yeah I say that in my post. You can still buy it for a premium on Amazon. I just did 2 weeks ago, well after it was "discontinued" and it stil works perfectly. No support has stopped for it.
Okay this has now caused me to want to buy more things.

I have a MyQ-enabled garage door motor and the MyQ app is hooked up to it and works from my iPhone.

If I buy the overpriced discontinued bridge talked about here (and I have a HomeKit Hub), do I need any dumb MyQ subscription to enable Siri support and to see the garage door button on my CarPlay screen?

Nope, just the overpriced bridge!

Follow the instructions below though! I listened to the app and it wouldn’t pair and kept unpairing the normal myQ so it took forever. I finally found these instructions and it worked on the first try.

It will all be worth it when you can "open sesame" your way into your garage.

Okay! An update:

I have a circa-2018 MyQ-enabled garage door motor that was set up and working with their app. My goal here was to get the garage door set up with HomeKit so I had a nice garage door button on CarPlay.

I purchased both the LiftMaster MYQ 819LMB MyQ Home Bridge ($100 smackeroos!), as well as the Meross MSG100HK ($39) plus also this macgyver'd garage button from Garadget ($22) that lets you interface a momentary button in with the lame MyQ proprietary connections.

I first followed @Neil4Real's suggestion of using the Home Bridge, and I spent a miserable 2-3 hours trying over and over again different things to try and get my garage door to cooperate as a device under the Home Bridge as its hub. Despite anything and everything I tried, the two just wouldn't work with each other. I even factory reset my garage door motor and disonnected MyQ from it, and it still wouldn't add it to the Home Bridge. No tutorial online or documention was helpful, and it seemed clear the Home Bridge product has bugs and is just not supported properly by MyQ.

After a while, I gave up and decided to switch and try the Meross product. It took less than 45 minutes, including running the sensor wire to my garage door and setting up a HomePod Mini (used on eBay, $50), and I had my fully functioning garage door button.

MyQ Home Bridge got returned to Amazon this morning, and while its physical install is definitely cleaner, it just didn't work properly for me. I thought it was outrageously priced for being such a buggy product -- with functionality MyQ should have included in their garage door as standard.

The other method was cheaper, much less aggravating, and worked right away.

Wow, what a bummer! I spent way too much time on it until I found those instructions I posted earlier, which worked on the first try. I’m assuming you ignored the app and just followed those instructions? Granted, I do have the MyQ hub as an add-on to my ā€œdumbā€ garage door, so maybe that’s the difference?

Glad the other solution worked for you! That sweet, sweet CarPlay garage door button!

Hey Andy, I think the problem could have been the age of your opener? Not sure, but you’ve been to my place and the two chamberlain openers both about 2 years old didn’t have issues setting up the single homebridge. I also set one up for my friend in Arizona about 6 months ago on his new opener. They all work perfect with HomeKit and Siri. Neil was right though, the instructions it came with didn’t seem to work and the ones he provided did the job and rather quickly.

I tried the app, your instructions, standing on the ground, standing on a ladder, saying an incantation, etc. Nothing worked properly -- I think they stupidly never considered someone would have a MyQ integrated garage door motor, then buy their Home Bridge.

The garage door button is a neat party trick.

Yep could be that my garage motor was too old. I was mildly tempted to use this as an excuse to get one of those insanely cool (but expensive!!) integrated motors you have Mark, but the alternative gadget worked right away.....

At the time I got them they were very expensive because they weren’t certified for sale in CA so I had to have them shipped to CO then my friend there shipped them to me. Of course 6 months later they were approved for sale here in CA. ?
