I was curious if anyone had thoughts on the seat size for GT vs GTPE for the '23 models? I've seen previous posts saying GT seats were a little wider and potentially more comfortable for bigger and taller guys. Wanted to make sure that was still valid for '23 model or if anything has changed. I test drove a PE and seat was a little snug, but they didn't have a normal GT to test out. Thanks.

The only difference between both apart from the color (I dig the copper tone GT seats but I'm biased) is that the PE has those snug wraps around the shoulder near the top. The normal GTs don't have those so it is better for bigger guys who find the PE snug as it has a flat top near the shoulders. Both seats have the same bolsters around the waist area AFAIK.

You said tall but how tall. I am 6'2" and the seats are super comfortable. If you are looking for more support in raising up seat for for thighs for get it. Even our 2011 kia optima sx has more rise than the GTPE. I need support on long trips and this is where Ford needs to fix.

I'm 6'3 but also wider than I should be. Thinking I just need to find dealership with both and try both.

I was astonished to find the Mach-E seats lacking adjustment like the front of the seat going up or down.

I'm 6-2 and about 265 with broad shoulders and love the GTPE seats.

We own a 2022 GTPE. I assume the ’23 seat is the same as 2021-2022.

The GT non PE seat is more similar to the Premium seat style, but it is a hybrid with slightly more bolstering on the seat back than the premium seat.

The seats between the GT vs GTPE are completely different on the seat back and the bottom. The head rest is fixed in place and there are large upper shoulder bolsters for handling tight curves on the road on the PE seat. The seat bottom cushion is slightly shorter behind the knee and has more side bolstering on the PE.

There is less padding on the GTPE seat, but it works for us.

Also: There is no pocket for the rear seat passengers on the PE and the surface material is very different too.

We love the feel and style of the GTPE seat as the best bucket seat we have had, but have read for probably 18 months it is not for everyone. Some love it (like us) -others strongly prefer the GT non PE seat.

The movement and electronic adjustment range of all MME seats is the same.

I strongly recommend you sit in both. For us it was no question my wife and I preferred the PE seat.

Thanks for the feedback. My only complaint is I'm now leaning more towards GTPE and the extra $$$ :) Going to go find me a dealership with both to try.

If you put these three images in Photoshop you can "cross dissolve" between them and see how the bolsters are different as well as the leading edge of the seat behind the knee on the GTPE, GT and Premium seats. I indexed them from the Ford website between the models because I could not find any dealer in August 2021 when we ordered our car that had any GT.

Both GT seats are very good, but for us the PE seats were a better fit for us. However, others find the non PE seat better. It is about body type/size and expectations. I suspect the extra padding may make the GT slightly more compliant.

(Magneride was another deciding factor for us and the wheels).

I have a GTPE and parked next to a Gt at a car show.

Both of us went back and forth between the cars twice and drew these same conclusions:

GT seats are a bit softer, GTPE are more supportive.

And neither of us could decide which is more “comfortable.” They’re both very similar, which is why we did went back and forth twice.

You should sit in them yourself to be sure, but personally it wouldn’t be a deciding factor as I like both seats equally in terms of comfort.

Keep in mind that they are similar but different- and driving on curvy roads they are also similar but different.

Both will probably work for most people, but some people will have a preference for one or the other depending on expecations.

I have been wondering the same thing about the GT vs PE seats but there are no PEs around to check them. I have taken several 500 mile drives in my GT and they remained comfortable throughout the trip. I went and checked the EV6 GT seats yesterday, they were snug (for me) but comfortable, but I wonder how they would be on an extended drive.

This is not exactly true, as the GT seats are power adjustable driver and passenger, but the GT PE seats are power adjustable driver and manual passenger.
It stated that in 2021 and 2022, yet every GTPE including my car has the exact same 8 was electric seat control that every MME has. I don’t think the 2023 or 2023.5 has a manual seat for the passenger, but I could be in error.

False.

That was just one of the errors in the early literature in 2021.

Both sides are power.
