Just booked mine - $69.95 in Ontario. I needed to swap the winter tires for the summer set which normally runs $55 anyway, so they will simply "rotate" the winter tires off and put on the summers.

I guess the extra $15 is to make sure the brakes are still there. :)

That’s why independent shops were invented and that’s where I go, $250 oil change and that’s high
I won't be taking the Mach-E to an independent for a while - it's hard enough to find a *Ford* dealer that knows what they are doing, let alone an independent. One wrong move on the lift and we'll be having a "conversation"....

I don’t take my 911 to Porsche unless under warranty and that’s over.

I would agree on the Mach E but have no choice because my local Ford dealership which I do trust doesn’t do inspections so I took it to a local shop and made sure they know where liFt points are. I also had them install the rear Steeda sway bar because Ford wouldn’t do it.

I had the Vette lift pucks on, took them off and now have to put them on again.

you are right though , I was nervous and looked to the heavens a bit

How is that possible? Don't they have to inspect new cars before they can sell them?

They said they send it out , seemed weird to me , also not sure if in NY a new car has to go thru an inspections (although sticker is on car) since it’s new but I would think it should.

now I am curious and will look it up.

I wonder if they *do* NYS inspections, but they just don't *want* to do them, because in the absence of any repairs, they can only charge $21 for the inspection per NY rules. Perhaps the calculus is that it takes more than $21 in labor to check off all the inspection boxes.

Took mine in for its second NYS inspection last month, wanted to use my Ford points to pay for it, but the service advisor said the dealership does not allow points use for inspections anymore - so he comped it. Works for me.
