10k service $130!?!

My 10k mile/16k km service was $69.30 CAD, so yours should be under $50 USD. The first service is a good way to use some of your FordPass points that you earned with the purchase of your MME.

It was the same price for me in British Columbia. Next check is recommended at 20k miles (32k Kms)

Basically it should only be the cost of tire rotation. No need generally, for alignment.

Dealership wants to charge $130 for the 10k maintenance for my mach e. Is this for real? I've seen other posts show $20 or $30. I'm in SE MI (Ann Arbor area). This is the dealer I bought the vehicle from, should I avoid them for this service?

I have no plans to return for any of that. Only if something goes wrong. Successful Updates are listed in the app

Looks like I was bamboozled. I paid $225 at Galpin Ford in Los Angeles to do the 10K service. I even created a thread in the California sub-forum asking for dealer recommendations. Didn't get much input at all. I'll be sticking with Upland Ford from now on.

When we took ours in for the 10K service last week, they checked for software updates and rotated the tires per Ford's recommendations. Also, checked 12 volt battery, brakes, etc. No charge.

You've never experienced the joy of taking your car into a Porsche dealership. They charge you 200$ just to open up the hood. Oil changes cost $600 there.

Did my 10k the same time I did the glass recall, was done for free. For my 20k paid only $20. Tire rotation and multi point inspection. Tuttle Click Irvine

True. I would hope that since the MME is now in its 3rd generation, they would all know. At least the bigger shops. But I certainly would tell them anyway!

Mach E is in its first generation and will continue to be for another 2 years (2025 is looking like the last year for first gen and 2026 or 2027 will be second gen Mach E).

I know you meant 3rd year of production, but that's still the first gen and the platform is very new. EVs in general are pretty new and Ford didn't exactly work from a well known platform when developing this one.

Not sure how the price of the car justifies wasting money when you don't have to. But to each their own.
