I also never rotate my tires. I’ve got 32k on the OEM set and they’ve still got some life left. I’ll probably switch em out around 45.

The math of spending $30 each tire rotation, to get an extra 10k in life, doesn’t add up.

They charged me $25 for the 10k. The only item on the invoice with a price next to it was $25 of labor for tire rotation. There was something about not replacing the pollen filter because the customer declined it (I didn't). I believe that it was impossible at that time to get those filters due to supply issues in mid 2021.

Mine was $30, used Ford points that came with the Mach E purchase to pay for it (6000pt), so it was free to me.

Taking your EV in for 10k service, well under warranty, is a ripoff. Drive your car. If you’ve got an issue, take it in.

The schedule calls for tire rotation and a typical list of inspections.
Tire rotations are tire maintenance, not car maintenance.
I do inspections and rotations myself.
At 2 years, 37K miles, all my dealer service visits have been for warranty work.

Same ballpark for mine. With tire rotation. I just don’t understand, $25 how? The labor minimum alone is over $100 here.

UK service intervals are 2 years unlimited mileage! Just what are they doing every 10,000 miles/12mths in US?

Nothing wears. Everything’s sensed.

My first service when due was at 18,500 miles at 7 months old then they lengthened the service intervals over here in UK.

Only thing for me is that 2 years is 60,000 miles which I feel is too long to go without anybody going under the car.

So, at around 40,000 miles took it in for a £60 check over at Ford dealer though it does go to specialist for precautionary 4-wheel alignment check twice a year, tyres get examined weekly and fairly frequently I do state of health check on traction battery and diagnostic download - I find nothing goes wrong ?

Next service booked early for June at 2 years old only because warranty expires soon after at 60,000miles and I want it checking over so anything wrong gets put right in warranty period.

As for rotating tyres is concerned, don’t usually bother unless fronts start wearing prematurely & unevenly.

Took mine back to the dealer I bought it from and they did it for free.

Mine was free for the inspection, $27 for the tire rotation.

EVs do not present anywhere near the number of maintenance and repair opportunities that ICE vehicles do. Consequently the days of cheap menu priced services are numbered. A dealer can't make any money bringing cars in for $20-30 with no potential upsales. Maybe break even if they have a Quick Lane, but even that is questionable.
