My car was charging super slow - amber light on charger, so via my thread investigation I assumed my charger was on the blink. Went to public fast charger - couldn't complete handshake and wouldn't begin. (even waited for the next vehicle to start charging to make sure it wasn't an EA issue). Called dealer and left message. Went home and plugged in. Awoke the next morning to car charged to 100% (321 miles? since when?) despite being set to stop at 80%. I'm thinking there's maybe a software glitch? Anyone else with similar? Also dealer isn't authorizing a rental? does that seem correct?

**** Also rear door stopped popping open, I haven't been able to stop my car from warming up in the mornings despite erasing my departure times, and there's no way my odometer is correct as other weird issues

Nope but my immediate thought is software glitch as well!
There are several posts where owners are experiencing similar issues but in most cases they seem to appear after an update. Does your car still show your correct profile and charging location? If it were my car I might try a master reset of the sync system just to see how it responds.

The amber light means the EVSE has detected an overheat condition, could be real or could be erroneous. But this cannot be caused by anything in the car.

Hi Julie! I can look into your Mach-E's charging concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Mach-E's VIN?

@Kismit and @Ford Motor Company I had a similar experience in the past 1.5 weeks. Received an error suddenly at home with charging, thought it was the charger.
Ford Mustang Mach-E It started with an amber light on charger Charging Error at hom

Then went to a public charging location, charged 25% more and stopped (see phone screenshot below). Unplugged and tried again - wouldn't charge. Maybe an issue with the car?

Yours at least has an update due....did you try installing it and then see if anything changed? Mine wouldn't have start charging at the public charger. It's super frustrating - mine is now at the dealer and hope they find a cause/solution!

Did you get a Service Vehicle Soon on the dash? I had the charge fault you experienced and the SVS. I took it to the dealer and Ford is aware of the issue, and said they will have a solution this July. I was told if it happens again, unplug for 30 minutes, and resume charging. The SVS cleared. I have not had a problem since.

I didn't get any codes/messages and it happened multiple days in a row with more than 30 minutes of being unplugged between. It's just so strange, car is running perfectly otherwise.

I did! I have service end of this month, but concerned if a fix is coming in July, should I wait?

but I have a few other issues I want to get fixed too
- TSB-23-2137
- TSB 22-2226 addresses issue with Bluetooth and phone calls with no audio
- Turning noise - been happening for the last 2 years

You should take it in. They will read the codes, and hopefully get all your other items handled at the same time. Good luck!

The dealer had it two days - NEVER once plugged it in to see the charging issues. They also didn't call me to tell me it was ready - I had to call them after my car hadn't been touched for 24 hours. They didn't test my charger (i put a piece of tape across the prongs that they would've needed to remove - because I trust these people about as far as I can throw them). Guess what? Charging still an issue! I didn't get to go anywhere all weekend so I could trickle charge enough energy to get to work this week. I'm beyond frustrated.

I hope Ford sends you a survey about your service experience. If nothing else, venting might be therapeutic.
