Ok i have cancelled the operation. Simply because the voltage was way below 10volt suddently. I got quite a lot modules done but i will try again soon on the remaining modules.

 Did you have it on a power supply?
Yes a 30 amps voltage supply. But the cooling system pulls a bit more. So 3 hours is the max on this charger. Normally it would be enough....

Yeah, that's not enough for a long update like this. Mine was pulling 36-38A the entire time.

I think that if i would have started on a 100% battery i would have made it. But the previous updates, especially the rfa? took also a lot of power. So i should have waited a bit longer inbetween the updates. No biggy ill be back.

https://www.nauticgear.nl/victron-e...id=40746a9e4c1216d5f50b0ef1d940a573#1116=3051 is the one i got now.

Is it better to add another victron when needed, or can i better get a stronger one. They are so expensive here....
I don’t read (or speak) the language that’s in, but I’m a little hesitant about the unit because printer on the unit is the word “Charger” and I don’t see anywhere on the unit that it’s a regulated power supply. If it is indeed a regulated supply, then a second unit in parallel would be more than adequate for FDRS purposes. If it is not, I would look for a regulated power supply. ??

It is a smart power supply with bluetooth. It is able to hold 30 amps for hours. I am not sure what a regulated power supply means. I will visit a specialized store soon, so they will be able to help me with my questions.

There’s this nifty “translate” button in mobile safari. Convers gibberish spoken elsewhere in the world to proper ‘murican English ?

It’s a euro supply so it does not apply to us. It looks like it provides 12V 30A

Your straying on the edge, be careful otherwise you will need to learn how to recover a module. Something I would like to get educated on for sure!

Right the mains side of that unit doesn’t apply to us, but it says “Charger” on it, not “Supply.” They function differently. Supplies provide much cleaner power and many of the modules in various makes of cars (according to online sources) require the kind of clean power that a regulated supply provides during programming. ?‍♂?

The power supply has 7 different " modes" so you can charge the battery slow or you can do it fast. It does not get hot during 30 amps, so you can use the maximum load for a long time.

It can also be used to keep the battery at the 100% level, for me it has worked very wel the past 2 years. But as the maximum burst is 30 Amps and the Mach-e uses 35-40 Amps the battery will drain slowly. Last year i even used it during flashing the IPMA modules, and they also took a long time !

But if you get nervous fast then do not not use this setup, because the voltage will get lower during flashing. The critical voltage was reached after 2,5 hours. Normally good enough for flashing any module. But i must admit today the voltage was already a bit low when i started this module. So next time maybe i need to wait until the battery gets charged fully again.

And no i am not afraid to flash a module again.

And here is the English URL:
https://www.victronenergy.com/chargers/blue-smart-ip22-charger
https://www.victronenergy.com/upload/documents/Datasheet-Blue-Smart-IP22-Charger-120-VAC-EN.pdf

and yes it supports Synchronized parallel charging

FYI the CMR update only takes 20 minutes with a VCM3. If that was taking 3+ hours, it means you have an inferior J2534 device or some other issues slowing things down dramatically.
