The luggage cover always falls down when the trunk is opened. This is because the elastic cords that provide tension are loose. The dealer doesn’t have a fix and won’t order a new cover as they say it isn’t defective. I’ve seen one report on this board of a dealer replacing the cover. Does anybody have a fix, or has anyone a cover replaced?

My dealer too told me they weren't going to do anything about it.

Careful examination of mine found one of the black plastic pieces which is the hanger post and and connects on the wire/frabric panel was falling off the wireframe of the cover. Getting it back into its correct place improved thing a bit, but probably temporarily.

Ive also used rubber bands and have tied a few knots in the stretched out cord to shorten it.

Funny how such a simple part can so easly fail and annoy me.

The design was changed for ‘22. I’ll try rubber bands. Maybe crimp something on the cords to shorten them.

I gave up and ordered the $115 retractable one on Amazon last year. Works much better. Ford was too cheap to put a good cover in.

Just bought a cargo cover for my '23 MME Select (it didn't come with one). The clips were hard to put on (tight) and the elastic cord has no play. Maye a new design. We'll see if the cord stretches. Right now it can't come off of the peg because of the tension. BTW, I got the cover with my Ford Pass points.

The cover in my 2021 was nice and tight when I got the car. A year and a half later, it pops out of place if you stare at it too hard. ?‍♂?
