We all already did this last year, correct(?), there are already a number of long older threads on using F-150 lightning fob for Mach-E to get frunk button I believe, it's just a new experience for newbie folx to the Forum.
Yet you open the link, read it and take the time to comment, then respond to other comments.

Interesting. I can open the frunk from the door pillar but don't see anything on the screen. Is your screen icon up with the tailgate open icon on the first controls page?
Exactly. On the picture of the car, there’s both a rear hatch release and a frunk release. There is a special procedure that has to be run in FDRS to enable it (my dealer did that for me). @generaltso has the details. The only thing that has to be done at the ford galactic supercomputer (back-end) is to enable the release icon in FordPass for my VIN.

Having had a '22 Lightning for a year and then trading her in for the MME last month made me miss the frunk button that I used to have.

Especially when I went to shop or the market, I had gotten so used to using the Lightning's frunk...

The MME frunk's traditional opening with the app or from inside the driver's side footwell was a pain after having had the convenience of remote opening the frunk with Lightning for a year....

It's nice to see that these keys can be interchanged and simply done by the user instead of having to pay for Ford or a locksmith....

Ordered a Lightning remote from eBay and programmed it for frunk release.

Took about 5 tries, but after starting up the MME then shutting down, opening then closing the door, then followed the procedure sent by the eBay seller - immediate pairing was a success.

I enjoy your joy.

Clearly these changes to the Sync screen can and should be part of a PowerUp. It should be an easy one.

Right, but @Kamuelaflyer has emphatically stated, on multiple occasions that it’s absolutely, positively NOT going to happen for MY21 Job 1s, even though Farley sent out a late night tweet claiming it would. I would like to believe he is wrong, but he seems pretty sure of his information, so I’m going with it.

Ford has bigger fish to fry than the few thousand job 1 cars still waiting for the remote frunk release m. HVAC, BC 1.2, NCAS, etc. Its priority is probably below nonexistent. Jim Farley doesn’t decide on OTA priorities, otherwise we’d have had it a year ago.

New key fob is the same size as the original 2 MME keys.

Has different back though...

You can swap the backs!! I programmed a 150 5-key fob that had the Ford logo, but swapped the back plate with that of my back-up mach e mustang fob.

I don't get the fascination with what the fobs look like. Do people go to FOBicons? Do you go to a bar and say "you show me your fob and I'll show you mine"?

I took the 2nd fob that my dealer gave me on the 2021 (long before the recall) and programmed it to the 2022 when I was selling the 2021 to a dealer, because he could easily use the recall to get a 2nd fob. I didn't give a rat's tuchus what the fob looked like.

As to the frunk, I have stuff in mine. On the Lightning, we've used it. On the Mach-E, we rarely have a reason to open it.

I'd put both fobs on one keyring.

Makes it easy to not forget one or the other ?

Ok, I didn't want to reveal secrets, but... Take a permanent ink marker and mark the ring of the truck one and not the Mustang one. Me, I have one with a small Ford ring and the other with a larger one.
Or, tie a ribbon on it.
