Hey everyone! I am a new MME owner, new to the forum and THIS is my first post!! I purchased a 2023 GT (Standard/Non-Performance) this week and noticed that the frunk had a slightly different design compared to other Mach-E's I looked at. The key differences are that there are raised ridges on the bottom, two drainage ports and, if you look at the upper rear portion of the well, you'll see two gaps that look like a place to attach an accessory.

FYI - The build date on my car is 06/06/2023

I'd be interested to hear if anyone knows what these are for?

interesting it doesn't appear to have the "lower back wall" anchor points that the current ones have anymore too
Yeah, instead it has two screws on the bottom which presumably serve the same purpose.

That’s a cool tub! Might have to get that one.
The differing anchor points lessen (or at least complicate) the chances that it would fit into an earlier car...

A shame they didn't create an access to the 12v battery.
I cannot for the life of me understand why we are 3 model years into production, and they still have not added this! It's insane that you we literally have to remove multiple panels just to get access to it, particularly when they teased us with the + and - symbols directly above those panels, which is exactly where folks are drilling them out to create access.

As someone else pointed out it's the same slot the Maverick has, you can google Ford Maverick console slot or cupholder...there's all sorts of things you could 3d print to put in there:

It's also making lazy techs skip hooking up the 12v for updates, which then messes up the updates

I'll be curious to see if mine has this new frunk tub. Picking my 2023 Vapor Blue Metallic, Premium, MME up tomorrow morning! Super excited!
I was originally looking for Star or Space White but when I saw the Vapor Blue GT on the lot I knew I wanted that color. Good luck with yours!
