What's 1.3 supposed to do for us, anyway? Will it provide some indication that BC is available beyond the 5 second popup that I (assume I) often miss?

Hi owners! The Ford BlueCruise 1.3 software update is coming soon to Mustang Mach-Es equipped with BlueCruise and we want to make sure you are getting all of the latest and greatest new features and improvements like this delivered to your vehicle.

As a friendly reminder make sure you:

1. Have Automatic Software Updates turned ON – this keeps updates coming as they roll out.
2. Set a Recurring Schedule – software updates may happen seamlessly in the background while you are driving, while others may require you to park and exit your vehicle so set the schedule for a time when you know you won’t need to drive the vehicle, like overnight.

Below is a quick step-by-step and here is a video of how to do this and some things to know about software updates on your vehicle.

How-To Guide:
Turn ON Automatic Software Updates

• Go to “Settings” on your vehicle’s SYNC screen
• Choose “Software Updates”
• Toggle “Automatic Updates” to ON

Set a Recurring Schedule

• Go to “Settings” on your vehicle’s SYNC screen
• Choose “Software Updates”
• Press “Schedule Updates” or “Recurring Update Schedule”

Things to Know:

• Don’t skip your Ford Power-Up software updates – this impacts all future updates
• If an update requires you to be parked, you will receive a reminder in your vehicle (24 hours prior) and in your FordPass App. You can reschedule up to 2 mins before the update begins.
• Software updates are not deployed to all vehicles at the same time and are done on a rolling basis – for example, your neighbor might get an update before you do.
• While not required, we recommend connecting to Wi-Fi for an improved update experience. If Wi-Fi is not available, your update will be delivered using the built-in cellular connection with your vehicle modem.

So, turn ON your Automatic Software Updates, set your schedule and let the updates roll in!

job 1 was announced to get BC in Q1 2022 and 4.3.6 was release these past few months to "close out" that topic so let's not look too hard at the trackrecord

This is great that they have been communicating this to us and I commend Ford.

it would also be nice if they communicated when OTA’s break something so we don’t spend countless hours guessing what is screwed up.

Thanks, missed that one in the search results it seems. Perhaps I discounted the source and moved on.

Based on this, I only hope that it updates correctly and doesn't cause any issues or annoyance as it runs. That would be a net negative with no offsetting gain.

I'm excited for BC1.3 and I think it will actually roll out pretty quickly, but I doubt it will have any connection to EA membership. I wouldn't be surprised to have this by end of August.

I've been waiting on a new APIM for 3+ months now. I have never had BlueCruise or received an update because of it for a 2021 CA Route 1. It's been a very frustrating experience, and by the time BlueCruise eventually works, I will be outside the trial window. Is there anything you can do to speed up APIM delivery or extend my BlueCruise trial @Ford Motor Company?

Same here have gone to dealer 6 different time in last year and still no Blue cruise. Same boat as your hope @Ford Motor Company can help job 1 with this and extended the trial.

why would you say that?

My Job1 seems to get all it's updates a month to several months after everyone else. I just got 4.36 the other day, surprisingly. But I question the letter I got from Ford that said to take it to the dealer to get the BC update, so I expect more than a couple modules need to be touched.
