So when can we expect an open-ended promise to be upgraded directly to BlueCruise V 1.4, and that it will be even better than the 1.3 that no one got?
Now you’ve got me excited for 1.4.

This is great that they have been communicating this to us and I commend Ford.

it would also be nice if they communicated when OTA’s break something so we don’t spend countless hours guessing what is screwed up.
How would they know if the OTA update broke something in your car?
It is a software update, does Microsoft know if one of their updates screws something up on your computer?
They can't possibly make everyone's update go perfectly.

Be on this forum for a while and you will see what goes on.

if hundreds of people are reporting something don’t you think it would be nice if Ford came out with an alert that there is an issue and tell us what it is, they are working on it and will get back with more info.

this charging issue that many people have , the yo-yo amp changes are either a software issue or hardware issue.

Ford knows about it but hasn’t said anything, like-“ we know there is an issue, derate your EVSE to 32 amp if you can until further notice.”

that’s called good customer relations

It would explain a lot if Ford was basically doing a giant experiment on us.
Totally.

We just all need to accept it for what it is. Ford has never launched an EV before. It's totally an experiment, and we're the (willing) participants. Some rats like to bite, others are more compliant.

Now, take all your medicine and drink all your juice. The doctor will be by soon with something special for you.

It’s not much better with the Hyundai vehicles, though they recently JUST admitted that you can’t charge the Ioniq5 or EV6 at 48A without the vehicle overheating pretty much didn’t acknowledge a fix was in the works or anything

Don’t disagree but doesn’t make it any better

Going to the lowest level of customer service doesn’t help

We should expect better

I am personally good with rolling it out slowly at first, and to those who accept the risk of getting new software early, to catch problems before it's delivered to the majority of the fleet.

This is a method I use as a robotics engineer where I have to push software out to a large fleet of robots that have a wide variation of hardware and it has payed off many times.
Are some of your robots more amenable to updates than others?

They are designed to operate 24/7 but not all deployed environments require that level of operation, so yes, in that sense.

On Jul 31th I received OTA power-up 4.3.6, which I observed to function in the following manner:

1. Interstate highway curves > 40 degrees on longer disable BC.
2. Ping Ponging in the lane of travel is actually noticeably worse.
3. Automated lane changes with a turn signal engaged does not operate.

The Fordpass Update Notice states that "...this completes what we call the Product Improvement Program 21G01". Does this mean I should have BC 1.3? As an end-user this Notification Description has a lot of words in it but not a lot of information that would help me understand what expectations I should have and what features are available to me in my Premium AWD w/ExtBatt.
