Err Mach-E not supplying data to Ford Pass APP - don't know where to start

This could be complicated!!!!

Octopus Intelligent - Controlling Charging - not a single issue since switch in April
Have a Dash Cam with USB splitter plugged into mirror power supply - no issue since purchase late May 2023

Charged Vehicle without Issue Wednesday 9th Aug

Received Ford Power up 4.2.1.2 Sometime on the 10th Aug

Plugged into charge approx. 7pm 13th Aug - went to bed assuming all was well

went to car at 6:30 this morning - Electrical System Drain - Service required amber/yellow warning

Message from Octopus App - cant control vehicle

Charging stopped at 2 am

Vehicle will not communicate charge status or update location to the ford pass app

is this an issue with the power up?

how do I reset and start again? - especially with the Octopus app and API

I think it is an issue with the update and the GPS/sat nav system. I am with Octopus and am on their GO tariff. I wanted to change to their intelligent tariff a while ago but my car always showed me at No.6 when at home. I live at No.4. My GPS was about 100M out of sync. Yesterday I wanted to set my charging at home for 0100 this morning but the car said that I wasn't at home and would charge as soon as I plugged in. The car was in my garage. When I checked the GPS/satnav it said I was at No 23. Way out. I don't use the car's in built system for navigation because I have never had a good experience with any of Ford's systems. Unfortunately to be able to set "home" for charging purposes you have to rely on this system.

There have also ben reports on this forum that the API that Octopus uses is not approved by Ford and so sometimes cancels your Ford account/Ford Pass account. You then have to reset it.

Quick Update - as directed by Fordpass tech support on the phone, Have done a Fordpass delete, wait an hour and reinstall and log on, as well as a Fordpass connection reset in car - still hasn't fixed the wrong charge status or location about 28miles wrong

I had the a few weeks back and resolved the issue by removing fuses 11 & 19 from the footwell fuse box and leaving it for at least 10 minutes and then replacing them. This apparently hard resets the GWM and TCU. Like turning your phone off & on again.

I assume (always a dangerous thing) you mean the passenger footwell? (UK car) and if so is it simply pull the cover off?

That's because I don't believe it to be a FP issue. It is to do with the GPS on the car.

JR1108 - Spot on - didn't get any sense out of Ford UK tech support and pulled the fuses - solved it - ta
