I got this on my FE. Even louder than the IPC buzz!

Dealer thinks this could be the issue with ours, however we are past the 36k basic wonder if it is covered under 60k powertrain??? Odo is at 47k right now.... ?‍♂

It is unlikely that a suspension component will be covered under the powertrain warranty.

I was assuming that. But I wasn't sure what all would be connected to the 'drivetrain' warranty with it being an EV. I have been in the car business for 10+ years and I was always surprised when certain things aren't covered and which things are....?

Thanks for this. I actually had this happen ONCE on my SR early build. Weirdly, it never came back after I restarted the car. It seemed like the software wasn't calibrated right as it went away when I took it out of 1PD for some reason. I'll have to keep an ear out for it.

i got this applied to my car 4 weeks ago, they were able to confirm the diagnostic and did the work.

Problem is, the problem is still there, it's quite obvious. I didn't know of the steps to reproduce, and i agree that these don't cut it for reproducing the problem. Because the dealer couldn't hear it, they can't do anything about this.

However, most times when we back up the car in the morning, it does it. If it's humid, it's worse, it can keep doing it for minutes while driving around.

Anyone else experienced this?

Sounds like you have corrosion build up on your brake rotors.

I did a full break maintenance 3 months ago when I took it in and they diagnosed this TSB.. are you sure it could be that?

I have a 21 premium and this noise has been cropping up badly lately. Dealer found the TSB and I have scheduled service - but they said they'll charge me the extended warranty deductible? isn't this something that should be covered by ford's warranty? I'm well within the 80000/2028 limits.
