Awesome, thank you for the information. Until now, I assumed I should avoid 21's but perhaps not.
It's pretty common to see on the forum that the '21 is probably still the best Mach-E feature-wise, especially now that we see other late model years don't seem to be immune to the battery issues, however infrequent they may be, unless you want an LFP battery I guess.

If you trade it in for another Ford, the dealer does have a $1000 Trade in Assist cash offer.

I used it when I got my '23 MME - traded in my '22 Lightning.

Got $1000 more than the highest nearby dealer offer by using the $1000 trade in cash bonus.
the only thing for sure is I will not be buying another ford. Ever.

June '23, my '22 Lightning was traded in as 1 year old with 10,500 miles.

I got $66K trade with a sticker of $67K.

I also got the $7500 tax credit refunded and $2000 state rebate so I made money on mine.
how did you get the federal and state refunded again when you already got the credit ?

I bought a '21 Premium AWD EX with 13k in Wisconsin for $37k.

Love it BTW.
Was it a Cerrified? Did you get 250kWh of free charging from EA thru 2023? Did you get blue cruise free thru 2026?

No Park Assist which means no side sensors for manual parking, no acoustic glass on front driver/passenger windows, no kick to open liftgate

(unless these were put back in, I haven't been paying too much close attention, but these features were deleted a while back)
I drove a March '23 GTPE yesterday. I can't say I noticed the lack of glass. However it was on the P-Zero's which are quiet. I wouln't buy the 23 unless I was forced. A 21/22 GPT is getting into a sweet spot, had I waited 8 months I could have saved $15k on the purchase and gotten a GTPE over a Prem4x. I havn't played the "buy my car game" with the MME but my FFE went up $1000 this month. Last month Carvana offered $900, this month $2k!

Ford does this. They release a new vehicle. Load it with features. Then every year take a little away.
My FFE in 2013 was stickered at $43k The 2017's were Sub $30k (which came with a bigger battery and 50kW DC'FC' but no floor mats, no puddle lights, no container in the back to be able to actually use the trunk). Each thing they took out was $200 to $400 to get as an option.

I pay attention to the Ioniq5 forums cause that was my second choice for a while, seems like the newer models of those have been decontented as well

I think it's a gimmic really. They know demand will wane so why not cash in on 'selling' all the features by making that the only option until people don't clammer for the car.

think I'll be lucky to get 37-39k for my Premium 4X with 20k miles. Good thing I don't have a reason to upgrade since the newer ones have less features. The zero percent interest is tempting, but not sure if that would be beneficial financially for me since I already had a pretty low interest rate.
I think Weikert Ford ended up taking a beating on ours! Last time I drove by there they had lots of MachE’s sitting in their lot!!

Not surprising for that area lol, I definitely won't be buying another vehicle from them, they screwed me over on getting Ford options and wanted to play games with the interest rate on that before even running credit and wouldn't let me use X-plan, but they did have a pretty low dealer fee.

Yeah, but where else can you find a dealer that will allow you to put 1500 miles on a demo MachE!!! Lol
