why am I just today only getting 5.1.1. ... slooowww

5.1.1 just started rolling out to everyone this week. You are right on schedule.

I checked my MME for updates, and it said that it was up to date. It has only had one since I have owned it. I wonder what's up?

The car can only check for updates that have been made available to it, and it checks automatically every time you turn it on. Going to the update screen is just redundant. Ford pushes updates gradually over time to different model years and trims. If an update hasn’t been made available for your VIN yet then no amount of checking is going to make it update.

make sure you set the update schedule. I set mine every day at 10 am. Right after that I got an update downloading message.

The update schedule only pertains to when inhibit updates (ones that require the car to be inoperable) will be installed automatically. Setting this time doesn’t do anything for making updates download. The car checks automatically every time you turn it on.

Not for me, this is what I see.

That’s really weird. Check to see if you have the latest version of the app. Also it may only work if you have a specific connected service enabled but I’m just guessing.

Okay, so my car did get an update here is what it got. On and BTW this update came after driving the car home from the airport where it was parked all week.

They never notified me either, I went on the website a few weeks after applying and it said invited.

I applied a year ago and they said I am on a waitlist. Heard today I am still on a waitlist the the EAP is full.

I think what they did was remove my premium and add my GTPE but seeing as today I got 5.1.1 who knows

You can’t just end it like that ? Inquiring minds want to know - “the opportunity” for what? Sharks with frickin’ laser beams? A million dollars? $5 off your next fastlane oil change? ?

I received the same e mail but I am afraid to say anything or I will be reprimanded for breaking an NDA that I signed after I received the e mail.

Haha! Nothing major (since I'm not even in EA yet). But I am covered under their nondisclosure. Let's just say it will be something that everyone will get soon enough... Without having seen it yet, I am not sure how much of a change it will ultimately be...

UPDATE: Right when I was writing this reply, the new thing I am testing became available. Not fully implemented yet, but has at least one handy feature...

I got (presumably) the same email as you a few days ago, i.e. I'm also waitlisted for EAP but invited to test something new. Still waiting for the subsequent instructions to get the testing started. Hopefully very soon!

Can't find that anywhere!

Settings > Connectivity > Connected Vehicle Features Says Please Wait and then goes back to the Connectivity screen.

Any ideas?

Can't find that anywhere!

Settings > Connectivity > Connected Vehicle Features Says Please Wait and then goes back to the Connectivity screen.

Same happened to me yesterday. Nothing in the Connected Services menu in the morning. Nothing when I went to lunch. Nothing when I came home from lunch. Logged in to my Ford account on my laptop to see if there is anything useful. Hmm, it shows 2 cars, mine and what I think is the order I abandoned. Deleted the extra car (multiple times when it kept coming back over and over) and when they asked me to rate my experience, I flogged them. Went back out to car, Connected Services menu was populated again. Turned stuff back on.

Not sure if it was just time or the extra car being deleted or just logging into my Ford account. Wished I knew, but it did clear up.

As luck would have it, my car was at the dealership when 6.1.0 was starting to roll out. I took it in to try to get the known defective headlight control module replaced but it sat for 2 days and still hasn't been "diagnosed" yet. Anyway I went this morning and convinced them to let me drive it until it's my turn in the diagnosing queue.

Just after the 2nd drive after getting it back, I got the notice that the 6.1.0 update was finished. Now I need to update my poll answer.

Yesterday mine when out as well, so I am suspecting there might be a maintenance window going on or something else from what I can tell. I'm on 6.1.0 so it seems it's not the OTA that is the issue here. Likely something server side.

The connectivity menu is not always available. It is only available when you vehicle is communicating with Ford. You will see a small triangle with up and down arrows on the top right of your screen.

So I'm not the only one with a second, mystery Mach E in the Ford App? I didn't even realize it until a couple of months ago when the app would default to Mystery MME and it would look like I lost all my settings because it was showing the wrong car. ?
