I’ll give some feedback while I’m still on the waitlist Ford ?

Take some inspiration from the My BMW app. I have an X5 45E and there are a *lot* of things I don’t like about BMW but their app is the best in the industry for design, functionality, and a double emphasis on aesthetics and customizable.

Edit: I can see the “vehicles” button in the top right is almost identical to myBMW so I guess they have looked at it, but clearly not followed through with the rest.

Meanwhile, some of us who can actually keep our mouths shut don't get invited to the beta. Wtf?
A 2021 non-GT, probably not a chance in hell. They actually have too many of those.

@AlanJ T&C's are not the same as an NDA. Most programs including this beta fall under the T&C's. There's no NDA for this beta. They aren't one in the same. Ford does do some programs under NDAs which you have to sign a seperate agreement for. Each program requiring an NDA requires it's own disclosure.

He is in violation of the T&C's which warrants suspension or removal from EAP. I've just seen you post a couple times now in different threads claiming an NDA when there's not one.
They can be one and the same if they tie an NDA into the Terms. A lot of places are opting to just roll it out that way instead of two separate agreements. It appears Ford is moving in that direction to make things simpler.

The terms have: "You agree to maintain the confidentiality of and not disclose any information or materials provided by Ford to you in connection with the Ford EAP." That constitutes non disclosure agreement.

So yes, you can have T&C's and NDAs separate, but you CAN put an NDA in the T&C's and it's still an NDA at the end of the day... It's all about what it dictates you can do and cannot do.

I don't think that has any impact on testing their mobile app. Plus, I'm on the original HVBJB, so don't I get points for that? ?
Sorry ... they base entry on the model and year of your vehicle and they have a cap on how many can join. Also, I don't think they need testing for the HVBJB, we've all managed to "test" plenty of those.

I sign, and generate, NDA's a lot at work I believe you are wrong. An NDA must be limited in scope to be enforceable, especially in states like California. Terms and Conditions can be broadly applied. As someone who has also signed a few NDA's with Ford, I can guarantee you that this program did not require an NDA. Other programs with Ford do require them and they have to be tailored to the scope of that program. I'm not trying to argue with you on the premise of your statement because he's in violation of the T&C, but there's no NDA for this program. It's not a pissing contest, I'm just trying to look out.

You're right that it's not a pissing contest, but not only have I actually written terms and NDAs with lawyers directly, but I have also had to enforce these as well in court. Language is all that matters with the agreement. We are both right, and for some reason you don't like that.

"Trying to look out" should be more aimed your way since you CAN have an NDA included within terms. So believing you can't have an NDA within terms isn't a game id play.

I'm done dealing with this though. I'll call it what I do, you do what you do. We both agree that this thread should get removed like the other one, it's getting a bit irritating that people are in EAP and don't follow the rules where others are waiting that might actually provide feedback and follow the rules.

Is the forum supposed to moderate that stuff? It’s not like the forum enters into an agreement with Ford, the person participating does. I don’t see news and social media sites removing leaks. Who cares, let Ford enforce it with the individual if they aren’t happy with it.

It’s pretty dumb to have the beta of an app under confidentiality, especially when the current version is horrible and it’s moved to EAP enrollment so not in a discreet beta, they know most people don’t honor that stuff, which is why it usually doesn’t reach that stage unless it’s more than likely becoming a reality and they just want bug reports. I understand certain features, like charge assist, which might not make the light of day, but what difference does it make? I used to care and now think it’s pointless for us to pile on when people point out violations of the terms, NDA, whatever you want to call it. It’s FORD’S to enforce, not ours. Not like they have our back when their dealers don’t hold up their end of the bargain.

I don't think this forum should moderate this post. I do believe he's in violation of the terms, but that's up to Ford to decide what should be done. I don't like silencing people even if they are wrong so long as it's not in violation of forum rules.

I agree, but that's not up to us to decide what's confidential and what's not. There's plenty of "smart" ways in which we could discuss FP5 Beta without mentioning it. I.e. "What would you like to see in the next version of the app".

There's really no need to go posting screen shots of something you promised not to post. The issue I have with what people are doing is that they are ruining the EAP program for those who want to actually contribute. If enough people blatantly violate the rules then they will likely just remove EAP altogether, which doesn't help anyone.

Yep I hate the trend of doing the enforcement work on behalf of the enforcers, just do your job and let them do their job, no need to be FoMoCo’s hall monitor. I’ll stop myself before I get into politics.

I’d love to be in this beta just so someone can look into the issue with some vehicle photos not being available on the server so all I get is blank spots where the photo of my car should be, which seems like something they’d want to fix.
