What’s it say when you click “view pricing details?”

My guess is it’s the rebate plus the tax credit. That equals $13,000 of MSRP. Then maybe another $500 bonus cash or discount.

Either way, it’s pretty significant.

And it is one more nail in our horrible resale value coffin this year.

My usual life cycle for cars is 6 years. No particular reason for that timing, just seems like I get an itch around year 5 and by 6 something new comes out interesting enough to make the switch.

Still love my car, but the thought of switching was way easier a yr ago when I could have made $$. Too bad that Macan EV is taking so long to come out.

Might have been a trade in plus $30k. Now it’ll be trade plus $60k. ?

In Northern California they had aged vehicle discounts a few weeks back too. Up to 4k off MSRP. They applied to old stock ordered prior to May 1, 2023. It would be interesting to see how low it will go from now to the end of the year.

Long Range Model Y (down $2k) to $48,490
Performance Model Y (down $2k) to $52,490

The Performance Model Y is now almost $10k cheaper than the Mach-E GT. The GT is better imo, but it's not $10k better. I hope Ford closes the gap.

How far do you think a MY will tow 3500lbs if it’s already at 260 mile range? Pulling 3000 lbs with my hybrid Lexus cuts my mileage in half.

Well, MachE RWD gets about 2.5m/kw with 1900lbs at 65mph.

At least you didn’t buy a Tesla Plaid or Audi Etron GT($50,000 price drops this year)!

Market tanked on all BEVs this year. Tesla led the charge on that one screwing everyone over on resale.


That said, this is just a point in time, doesn’t really matter much.

A month after I bought my “leftover” 2015 Chevy SS for 20% off MSRP…….. Chevy extended 25% off the new 2016 models and ran that promo for around 9 months!!

I thought my resale value was gonna be trash.

Fast forward 6 years to when I sold it for $45k to CarMax (I paid $36k new). I was fine.

So unless you’re selling today, I wouldn’t sweat it too much. No one in December expected these BEV price wars this year.

I bought my GT a week too early, these incentives dropped Oct 3 and run thru the year in to 24. $9250 cash incentive on GTs and incentives for the full model range.

Given that Ford's recent 0% loan incentive program just expired, this is a decent substitute (although the 0% loan offer was easily a better deal in terms of interested saved when the prevailing auto loan is 6%-7%)
