Thanks, I asked the dealer to do it and they wanted to charge me and said they don't know if it will take an hour or 8 hours and they charge per hour. Ford should get them to do it for free for Job 1 cars IMO.

My dealer said the exact same thing since Ford hasn’t approved this change its consider a modification and they charge for it. I got someone that has the equipment and software to add mine. but in the process knocked out my BC, I just got the dealer to fix the BC today, luckily under warranty.

You are correct, nobody said anything definitively, but that guy who’s post I referenced, @generaltso , seems to be fairly knowledgeable and he seemed to be agreeing with speculation that Job 1s may not be able to display a power meter?

2021 GTPE in EA and my last update was early August (the 23-PU0110-RAD-PS).

Seems only a few 21 GT have gotten 5.1 or more. But usually I get updates within a week of everyone else.

2021 Job 2 here and my last update was same as yours and same timing, 8/17

Here is why Ford should pay for it. There is a very large button in the Frunk that when you push it nothing happens. When is the last time anyone bought a brand-new car with a button that when pushed doesn't work. But.... works for everyone one else's car built later than ours. It should be a no brainer and only effects Job 1 cars so limited.

I can say with authority that that poster was just confirming that enabling the power meter doesn’t currently work in Job 1 cars. He wasn’t suggesting that it can never work.

Mine has successfully installed 6.1.0 but it's also doing the same strange things with the auto update settings where it'll show as being off, then later on

Mine got updated to 6.1.0 last night. It seems that we just need to play the waiting game for now.

I'm a 2021 Job 2 (Aug build, completed in Oct, received Nov 29), AWD Ex. I've received all the updates through 5.1.1, but I'm not getting 6.1.0. Car is showing some funny behavior. When I turn it on and go the software updates screen, it generally shows that Auto Update is off, no schedule set and 5.1.1. is "Not Complete". However, if I wat a few seconds, it changes to show that Auto Update is on, shows my schedule of every day at 1:00 AM and shows 5.1.1. as complete. I've been checking daily for 6.1.0 for nearly a month now and this is the first time GA OTA updates haven't come to my car quickly.

I had to,take our 2021 Job 1 to the dealer to cleat the “Not Completed” status of 5.1.1. It completed the next day and we got 6.1.0 last night.

Yep. It’s a hardware issue. Job2 2021s have a different piece of hardware. IIRC, there was at least one 2021 Job1 car that got a replacement IPC due to the buzzing who got the newer hardware that was able to enable the power meter. ?‍?

SSM 51689 is a replacement for the buzzing IPC. Getting this done was highly recommended.
