And this one will actually tow (fine print tells you towing is only with the AWD version).

I am not seeing a strong market for this. On the low end, the Chevy Bolt is better (assuming you can keep getting decent discounts on the bolt and not this), and so you will need AWD to beat the bolt price/specs wise and if you are doing that the premium Mach E AWD beats it (guessing price). There is some potential style preference, but don't see it significantly taking from either the Bolt of the Mach E in terms of sales (assuming not supply side constraint, which people might get instead of waiting for the Mach E). or does it have some advantage I am missing?
I'd buy it over the Bolt.
Over the Mach E? Not on your life.

It's definitely more upscale and less "econobox" than the Bolt, and the base model is significantly cheaper than the Model Y. The SR RWD is comparable, but if you want to be able to tow (or have true "utility") the ID.4 has an advantage. I think the ID.4 will actually do very well.
Only the AWD tows. VW said so.

It is a huge financial incentive for Europe to go BEV; it's a major contributing factor to the first 2 items on your list. Sure saving the environment is ostensibly the cause for the regulation, but energy and financial security are probably bigger factors in that regulation.

He did a good job

That works out to:

Someone else did the math. I hope that Kyle gets his Mach-e soon and does a winter range test.

These European videos keep showing things we can't get in the US, like the heat pump and heads up display. And those fancy tail lights.

Personally I'd move the RWD ID4 above the bolt after watching the Insideevs first drive video. Plus it has 125kw DCFC (vs the Bolt's 50).

Everyone has their own ordered list.
Agreed. The Bolt was groundbreaking for 2017, but Chevy didn't anticipate how BEV's need much shorter refresh cycles. I'm concerned that the forthcoming Bolt updates are too little too late; they're keeping the DCFC at 50kw is a tactical blunder. The Bolt's price range puts it in competition with the MME SR RWD, ID.4 and Model 3 SR+, but its spec list is outclassed by far.

Right now I agree but let's see what the Bolt is like after the refresh.
